Ince - no permission

Jeff I had read right up to post 116 (inclusive) earlier today, but when I just came back I it said I hadn't read any, and took me to post 1. Any ideas?

The thread has recently been split into two at the point when people realised that permission had been refused - presumably it's something to do with that.

Probably because I split the old Ince thread into two. I don't know why the forum doesn't recognise that you'd read the posts though, it did the same thing to me. I'll report the bug to the developers.




The Ince speculation thread had 600+ posts in it before MM was refused permission to talk to him, so anyone coming to the forum after a few days away would have had to read through pages of stuff before finding out he wasn't going to come here. I wish people would start new threads rather than post important stuff like this in a thread that's already too big.

Paul Aldridge did it, so MM sacked him. MM hates not knowing which posts he's read.

It didn't do the same thing to me. I saw the 'Ince - no permission' thread in the index, presumed it was a new thread, clicked on it and was then surprised that I was not taken to the post #1 in the thread. I then went to post #1 to see why and realised that it was something that I had read when it was part of another thread.

My experience was I clicked on the thread thinking my god not more shit and then went straight to the last page and found that by sampling just the last page i had gauged that it was much like the rest of the shit but then realised that there were some new aspects of interest regarding the technological web that makes up the fabric of our forum and so asked for more details and have been pleased that i asked. Best thread ever. Even better than the three word story.

Could we make this a sticky?

What is very certain and very public is that Ince has said that he does not want the job.

As you say - very stupid to have gone so public. And as if we didn't look stupid enough already - your Uncle Milan is doing really well.

Do you honestly believe people in football dont get tapped, agreements made in private before official approaches etc.

No - and I have never said anything to suggest that I do.

What has your question got to do with the post of mine that you have quoted? Do you not still believe that your Uncle Milan was stupid to go so public on the Ince approach when it is clear that Ince is not interested?
