Canada 'should' win, but this is Canada after all. I'm definetly going to the November fixture - no matter where it is in Europe, well as long as it isn't too expensive.

The Canadian team has been in Ottawa training, so it is safe to assume that Hume has not been training. I would think that if he is not 100% fit he won't play in the friendly.

Three members of the Leicester City squad have been placed on standby for their respective nations for the forthcoming round of international fixtures. Both Patrick Kisnorbo and Paul Henderson will have to wait to find out whether they have won a place in the Australia squad after the initial draft was announced for their games against Paraguay on October 7 and Bahrain the following Wednesday.

And defender Gareth McAuley, whose Northern Ireland side face Denmark and Latvia, has also been placed on standby for the latest round of Euro 2008 qualification fixtures.

No Hume for the Canada game at Kingston, Jamaica on October 8th. Probably for the best.... however, Canada did call up a majority of European based players which is kind of surprising.

I suspect Hume might get the call for the Canada game on November 15th at Budapest.

OK, but do you think we have any players at City at the minute who deserve a call up. Please excuse my ignorance as I don't know the Canadian squad and the availability of players, or indeed standard.

Yes, booked my ticket last week. Although the game might be played in a city 1.5 hours by train outside of Budapest. Canada isn't the biggest draw in the world. :icon_redf

Nice town, well worth a visit, and not far from Lake Balaton. If you do go try to get to Veszprem as well which is quite close and beautiful. Stanstead to Budapest by Ryanair is very cheap these days, and car hire is not bad.

We have a place near Tapolca, towards the opposite end of the Lake.
