England made a half decent start. Played some half decent football.

You can't help but feel what's the point. That even if they win every friendly and qualifier this lot haven't got it in them in the tournaments.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I found myself on numerous occasions thinking...whats the point? i've sat here for so many years thinking if only or this could be it.

Gerrard saved an embarrassing result to be fair... and he celebrated his first like he had just scored a golden goal in the world cup final...if the players are so liberated after equalising against hungary there really are issues.

Just watched the highlights from S4C and apart from his goal (a nice header from a set piece) it looked like he barely touched the ball after he came on :icon_lol: I'm sure he was his usual industrious self though.
