I'm still not convinced, the third and fourth look like they could be the same one. I can't see anything in those paragraphs to suggest there's a fourth.

The first two were damaged when a ship's anchor was dropped on them.

This caused loads of internet traffic to be re-routed via the third one, and it snapped under the strain :icon_wink

Sounds more like a NATO op if it was intentional. Terror networks are always using the internet to broadcast their propaganda. There is not much reason for them to do stop that. I'd say its a NATO op if it really was intentional and we were speculating here.

Repairs may take up to two weeks. It is still unknown what actually happened, because undersea cables are very strong, shielded with several layers of steel.

A total of five cables being operated by two submarine cable operators have been damaged with a fault in each.

gets better each day ,this mite not just be faults anymore

3) one off of Dubai, in the Persian Gulf
4) one off of Bandar Abbas, Iran in the Persian Gulf
5) one between Qatar and the UAE, in the Persian Gulf
6) one in the Suez, Egypt
7) one near Penang, Malaysia
8) initially unreported cable cut on 23 January 2008 (Persian Gulf?)
