Click start and then select 'Run'.
Type this in....."C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"
If that dont work you'll need to reinstall it. Or get Firefox.

Cheers Rhydal, that didnt work, it says refers to location that is unavailable, could be on hard-drive or on a network, check that the disc is inserted, if still not located info might have moved to a different location.

Thanks anyway.

Thanks all for your help, i might just re-format and be done with it once and for all.

This has done my head in.

You don't need to explicitly declare the location, just type iexplore.
If that doesn't work, reinstalling Windows is the only way forward

Yep.

Actually, try typing this into the Run box: iexplore.exe -extoff

That will attempt to run IE without any add-ons or extensions.
If it runs using that command, you'll know that it's a toolbar or add-on that's causing the problem.
If it doesn't, you'll know that IE is proper banjaxed and reinstalling Windows will be the only way forward.

Did you think that Durham and I might both be Linux advocates and are playing a double bluff?

I would expect nothing else of him and absolutely anything of you.
