stopping Ipswich getting a win is huge and probably the only positive from today.

They will be as nervous in the final minutes after the past couple of games as we were under Rodgers and Micky Adams.

The late, late show rescued us a point from an awful performance, although both goals were well taken - two highlights in 98 minutes of dross from both sruggling teams.
We were lucky - but I'll happily take us not losing and further demoralising an opponent

I'll be honest and say up until the player who used to be Kalvin Phillips got sent off I would have been in the Cooper out club (again). But then as we heap praise on the performances of players like Ayew and Soumare.....the blokes doing alright with what he's got really. Any back 4 he selects is shite and we've got very little in terms of options elsewhere. Happy to see us plod along through this season with 3 teams just being that bit more shit. Southampton winning could give Snide Rodgers a few more weeks too.

Great that we rescued the late point as would've been a disaster to lose that game.

Keeping going to the end is something I'll give Cooper and this team credit for, we're becoming pretty good with the late goals.

But my worry is that those late goals are papering over the cracks. Huge games against Southampton and Ipswich, we've won it late after they've had a red card. That won't keep happening.

My worry with Cooper and this team still is that I don't see much improvement - and think we're more likely to slip into a rougher patch of form than a good one at any point.

After a good start to the season, I'd also say that Ndidi is playing his way out of the team. So there is a place there.
He's vital to us surviving. Second most successful tackles and duels won in the Premier League. The problem is that he was trying to fiddle whilst Rome was burning around him.

I totally agree that today, he wasn't great at all but we have to find a way to keep him.in the team and keep him playing as he can.

It would be interesting to see Soumare start a game I suppose but I feel I've been burnt before....

Well, I thought that was a thoroughly enjoyable game. Ipswich had their chances, but overall I thought we were considerably stronger - they only scored with a scorcher but otherwise Mads had little to do. I was also very relaxed in the last 10 minutes or so as I just knew a goal was going to come, as it was very nearly two did.

I am concerned that we can't keep a clean sheet though. I remember Uncle Claudio talking about the importance of strikers feeling that they can rely on their defense so that they don't desperately snatch at every chance. I much more positive about him than others on here, but it's time that Cooper got his pizzachef hat out

Agree - make 'em an offer they can't refuse....

... and I ain't talkin' no free match-day poutine, neither.

Sometimes football is batshit crazy. The absolute carnage when that goal when in was just beautiful in every way. Totally ****ing mental. You walk out of the ground high as a kite, while you watch the Ipswich fans shuffling away completely distraught - and all is good

Then on the long drive home you realise that for most of the game we were completely and utterly shite and you come back down to earth.

First 15 mins or so were great, but after that up to the sending off it was a ****ing hopeless and horrific disorganised rabble. An embarrassment from back to front. It gets worse week after week, it really does. And Ipswich were wank.

We had twenty minutes playing against ten men, and bizarrely that was also a bit of a struggle. We ended up playing crazy suicide football which was an absolute blast to watch, and that Super Sensational Soumare brilliance got us home. Lovely as it was, it papers over the cracks of this clueless ****wit we have as a manager.

McKenna ****ed it right up, however, in my opinion. We were effectively playing one at the back near the end, but he chose to pack everyone into the eighteen yard box and hope for the best. He’s an idiot.

Ipswich have a fantastic safe standing section and actual people on the turnstiles taking your ticket. Quality.

**** ‘em, carrot crunching ****s

They had 5 players in our half when we won the wall back in the 94th minute, so they didn't do a good job of packing everyone in their own box in that case

Our goal was a counter attack to their counter attack. It was superb from Soumare, tracking back, winning the ball back and a powerful drive up the line; all rounded off by a classy flick from Vardy at the end.

Soumare has always looked good at times when he makes these powering runs forward but they've been few and far between and the tracking back thing was always the number one criticism aimed at him. If he can keep it up, certainly we'll worth considering giving him a start, cause as odd as it is to say - he can add some energy into that midfield at the minute.
