But does anyone else notice how often the media ignore or are biased against Leicester?

I remember a commentator on the Radio 5 on our 4-0 beating of Leeds (Nalis famous goal). He said that Leeds LOST 4-0 to Leicester. And that LEEDS defence was poor, and Leeds this and leeds that. No mention of City, the Nalis goal or anything else. This seems to me to haapen a lot.

And I saw this on the BBC website this morning:

"Motherwell have named former Brighton, Reading and Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Mark McGhee as their new boss. "

It's only a mior thing but it really gets up my nose. Is it deliberate? Do they hate us?

I'm delighted that our club's name hasn't been dragged into the mud by associating it with the graceless, unfaithful bastard.

We have had more than our fair share of media coverage in recent months, with media savvy MM and MA this will only increase. :)

I hope so. I've been supporting City since 1969 and it has always pissed me off how much the media ignore us like that. (It's even worse in Kettering - I can only get Anglia TV!)

i remember us getting a bit of coverage after a couple of trips to somewhere in Spain.
but on the whole i think you are right KP

Yes they are anti-Leicester but the BBC website did go on to say

The former Aberdeen, Celtic, Hamburg and Newcastle striker started his managerial career with Reading followed by a brief, one-year stint at Leicester.

;)

There are a lot of Leicester fans in the media, especially at the BBC.

For example...

Arlo White, Steve May, Andy Barwell, Nick Mullins, Mark Bishop, Charlotte Nicol, Iain Carter etc

Always been the same as far back as i can remember. To be fair though it's not just city, all midlands clubs get it.It goes back to the days when all the major press was in Fleet Street except the Guardian, which was based in Manchester.
All you got was London clubs & Man U.
Then when Liverpool started winning things in the 60's they got covered as it's only 30 miles from Manchester.
Basically if you weren't from the smoke ot the north west you could forget any positive press. This was hilarious in the mid to late 70's when all the London clubs were utter shite & yet all you read about on Sunday was the Arsenal game.
The only midlans clubs who ever got any half decent press coverage were Derby & Forest...& that was only because Clough was manager & impossible to ignore. If those clubs had still won the league under a lower profile manager they would have gotten much less press.Villa proves the point. When they won the league & Euro Cup in 81 & 82 they got endless bad press or were just treated in a cursory manner.
I well remember how amusing the 81 season was...largely a run-off between Villa & Ipswich for the title & they got hardly any coverage compared to Liverpool who came 3rd!
Simple really...most sports journalists are lazy old hacks who dont want to go out of their comfort zone.So it's London & Manchester.Nice big metropolitan areas with bars & clubs & events they can lig their way into with a press pass. They can't be arsed with the midlands...not jazzy enough

That's very nice, but who exactly are these giants of broadcasting that you mention?

I don't think that anyone is pro or against Leicester:102:Bit of paranoia perhaps
