It seems that MA attracts/is attracted to the jobs where there is a mountain to climb, no money, little time, and huge expectation. There's little scope to build long term from within.

He's marked as a manager who manages on a shoestring, but can achieve limited results. He has his faults, but I admire him for his integrity. However, he's gone and is in the past.

We may have been no better/worse off than we are now if we had stuck with MA in terms of table position, but I think we are light years forward in terms of our future. Rob Kelly has earned his chance and seems to be an open, honest and modest leader. Clearly, he knows which buttons to press with the players. He is committed to building from the bottom up and although this may mean slow progress, its will be real, tangible, lasting progress. IMO.

Sorry if this has been mentioned, haven't trawled through the whole thread but if one man got us up it was Sir Mustapha of Izzet. Easily the best player in the league that season. Looks llike we were lucky to get rid of him though. The poor lad seems to be Brum's answer to Lee Morris.

You are right but just wondering did he get in the team of the year?

I think micky was right to leave and I respect him for doing so and been honest with the fans and the club.

Whilst craig did us good for the future by bringing in younger players, adams did the same by getting us promoted. Bear in mind one season in the premiership was worth 20million + an extra year of parachute payments so around 27 million + one season increased ticket revenue and advertising (one year of parachute not 2 since their was one left anyway if no promotion). So in terms of our long term debts he has helped us reduce that to a level lower then what it would have been without that year in the premiership. Without that promotion this would have been our 4th season in the championship now and the parachute payments would have ended 2 seasons ago.
