5 kids! He's been busy!
C'mon Mike, get a move on and get to the Walkers, I'm getting bored now.

That article is pretty ominous, it would be very irritating if we lost out on our top two targets while also getting them better deals at their current clubs. Seems a bit short-sighted of Newell to me (Luton have made promises of a new stadium/investment before - if we stay up this season we'll probably be in a better position than Luton next season) but I could see him staying with them. Such a shame that no-one wants to come to us though...

Indeed Leigh we aren't the attractive proposition many thought we were...

I'm not doubting RN, and I know nothing about what's going on behind the scenes, but it seems to me that it's looking less likely that we're going to get Newell. If Luton are that determined to keep him and will build a new stadium in attempt to get to him to stay, then I can't see him leaving. As that article said, why leave a team just outside the playoffs where he already has a good reputation and following for a team whose battling relegation? Only reason would be that we are a bigger club with better facilities, but if they give him a new stadium and more money then we wouldn't look such an attractive prospect.

Hopefully we do get him! Just the longer this goes on the less optimistic I am about it...

Good find. Couldn't help but smile at this though...

Wayne Rooney has agreed a five-book deal that will earn him at least £5m from publishers Harper Collins

haha

They're going to make him read FIVE books?! :-D

he may be tempted by the prospect of getting asll the things he wants in one go rather than wait years for luton to get upto speed.

How highly rated is Mike Newell?

The whole football world now knows he's willing to look at other jobs.

Maybe he thinks he might get a Premiership job when the England/Newcastle roles have been filled

Not unfeasible he'd be linked with the likes of Bolton/Charlton/Birmingham/Middlesboro etc...

Tricksy barstools

Oh sod it, just stick with RK until the end of the season. If he does well, then who knows. I don't want anyone in who's half- hearted about taking the job.
