Could be on its way out of LCFC possable .

Went to the club shop today to get my "coach's padded jacket",i also wanted one for my lad and was told they have no more of them instock .

here is what was said .

Newts- so asked when's the next lot coming in

and was told

LCFC SHOP-we will not be getting anymore of them.

Newts-why not they seem to be selling well.

LCFC SHOP-we can not get any new coats till the new season and new kits are out.

Newts-are we getting rid of jako???

LCFC SHOP-as i said we ae not restocking

Newts- have a good xmas bye.

Someone with "inside info" (not proved) posted ages ago on FT about the fact we were getting rid of Jako and replacing it with............. Adidas.

I'll try and find the post.

The current kit is supposed to finish at the end of this season, the same thing may apply to the training and coaches stuff.

The contract with Jako lasts for four years, so I'd be surprised if we're ditching them after 18 months unless there have been serious problems with them.


They probably won't get the old stuff back in because they have loads of new stuff ready to be launched for the club's 125th anniversary.

There were probs with the black kit and re-stocking. I bet City can't be asked to risk ordering some in and then losing money if they are never sold because brand change or not, the current style of shirt and training stuff will be gone next season.

If we do go adidas anyways, we'll be 'catalogue' like Derby, P'boro and Macc Town.

They're both massive well-known brands and as businesses I'm sure they far exceed what Topps Tiles turn over in a year. They will be able to afford to match what Topps Tiles are paying us - whether they want to or not is another matter.

I personally won't buy a shirt with that ugly Topps Tiles logo on the front, I think it looks cheap and nasty, I've got no interest in wearing something that looks shit just because it's got a city badge stamped on the front.

I won't buy a shirt with any sponsorship on it. If companies want me to advertise they should pay me, not expect me to pay them.
