Both Vardy and Cahill seem to have retired but will still be in the squad if Southgate doesn't have any better/fit options. Very dramatic way of saying they're not getting picked for the next squad if you ask me.

Nicely done I'd say & a correct decision on the back of that stonking contract he's just signed. Just a shame he didn't get a winning goal in a World Cup finals match to cap the fairytale but there you go.

Also there's a fair bit veiled in that "I'm available if there's a crisis" isn't there? :003: As in "thats the only time you'd ever use me anyway isn't it you ****?" In Vardy's position I'd be thinking the same thing.

One of the most telling bits of commentary in the World Cup was in the Croatia game. Something along the lines of

"England will look to play more on the counter attack, as on comes Rashford"

Yeah. So you leave the best counter attacking striker in the Premier League for the last 3 seasons on the bench & bring on the kid who can't get in Utd's starting 11. **** off. Southgate is an FA employee yes man no-mark & I'm sure Jamie knows it.

If he'd gone to sit on Arsenal's bench 2 years ago instead of staying here he'd probably have started for England in the WC. The ****s don't deserve him.

49 goals in 101 league appearances at Liverpool doesn't lie, me old sheep.

And that's whilst being consistently crocked.
For the season where he got the biggest chunk of those goals (21), the teeth in the Liverpool team was, quite literally, Suarez (31 goals in 33 apps), who is the best player I've ever seen live.

If you take that season out, he's 28 goals in 72 apps. Not bad, but pretty unremarkable.

Sturridge needs to feed off scraps in space created by a real forward who's getting double teamed, or when coming on as a sub against a fatigued opponent. On his own up front for 90 mins he's pretty poor.

If you take out the season where we won the league (because you know, everyone else in the team just played out of their skin), Vardy has a record of 39 goals in 108 games. So a worse record than Sturridge’s if you remove the season he scored 21.

The point I’m making here is that to just discard the season Sturridge scored 21 is ludicrous.

That argument is as weak as Cardiff's attack.
Let's just discard every season known to man and erase the history of football shall we?

I'd be surprised if you lot even get 21 goals between you this season.

Probably best not to even record this season to save you having to forget it in the future!

Nobbers the lot of you.

Vardy was your main striker and scored his goals without being a wing man.

Suarez was signed by Real Madrid and, according to recent reports, Kane was approached by them too.
No interest in Sturridge ever. Chelsea cast him aside, and Liverpool have him on the bench. Nuff said.
