The actual headline in the printed article makes it clear he is already niggled by people questioning his ability to perform in the Championship.

How does anyone know, including the player himself, until he gives it a try? I, for one, will give him full support. It says a lot that he chose us and Nigel ahead of other interest.

His biggest challenge is not whether he can make the step up, which he can, but whether he can deal with the mental aspect.

Wait until he starts getting boos when his name is read out for the second match because he failed to score a double hat trick on his debut...then we will find out if he can cope with Championship morons.

He seems to have disciplinary problem at times

Fleetwood's Jamie Vardy and Harriers' Steve Guinan were sent off just before the half-hour with the score still 0-0.
Kendal Town returned to the top of the league with an impressive win at Stocksbridge in a very eventful game that saw Town reduced to 9 men and the home side finishing with 10 !! An off the ball incident right on half time saw Kendal's Kieran Walmsley and Stocksbridge's Jamie Vardy both red carded

Stocksbridge Park Steels overcame the sending off of star striker Jamie Vardy and conceding an early goal to record a well deserved and much needed three points at home to Ashton United on Saturday. Steels were dealt a major blow in the 34th minute when Jamie Vardy was sent off for a late challenge.

Jamie Vardy
Absolute disgrace of a footballer.... Should have been sent off tonight for one of the worst tackles I've seen for a long long time... It also highlights the standard of referees in the BSP that he didn't even give a free kick. Absolutely shocking.

Wrexham Forum
Just enquiring about the tackle last night (10/4/12) from
Jamie Vardy from Fleetwood against Nat Knight-Percival from Wrexham.
Are the Football Conference happy with the tackle, which received no
punishment, even a retrospective view with video evidence clearly
shows the player making a two-footed tackle over the ball and catching
the opposing player.

our club has been slated by the readers in my local "Blackpool Evening Gazette" Vardy a waste of money blah blah blah, will get Leicester relegated etc, funny how every Blackpool fan i have talked to are gutted they didnt bid for him and slag off their tight fisted chairman

Our lot weighing up whether we missed a trick with Vardy....

This comment made me chuckle.......

If he joined Perterborough then he would be a bit more exposed. Joining Leicester means he'll probably get 2 seasons in which to make an impact before the fans get on his back and I think he'll need that time (especially considering his age).
I think not.
