True but any team can improve. Everybody knows we could do with a central midfielder (Clemence is not comming back anytime soon) and a better keeper. Surely it would be easier to integrate new players into a team with a winning mentality than wait for next season.

I'm not debating with you, of course it would be better if we could sign better players. But I don't think we need to, that's all.

hendo's fine for me. Loads of us screamed including me that we wanted him back instead of martin and now he is, we want to change him again. hendo is a good league one and maybe even champ keeper. Lets keep him til the summer and wait and see if he signs another contract before getting another keeper.

if he signs again then get a back up. if he doesn't lets go and buy a decent keeper.

But will we really be in a position to buy Championship quality players in January, considering we are in League 1?

Difficult in terms of convincing them to come here, and funds as well... not to mention that if they are of Championship quality, then I would imagine Champ. teams would be after them too.

Can't see us doing any major business... the only 2 things I'd particularly be looking for at the moment are a new CM and a big CF to rival Howard... but can't really see either happening, and if they do they'll probably be cheap/loans to back up what we've got rather than replace.

The ostensible reason was to monitor Tunchev but I cannot believe you need to travel abroad to watch your own player. It seems he had watched Tunchev for some time before lining him up for city. I hope he has got another top quality Bulgarian to join us in January.
