Out... Mattock, Fryatt, King, Adams and Oakley.....please.

In....a decent midfield and a natural finisher.....please.

If we stick with what we've got, possibly play-offs, but wont go up. Dickov and Clemence will make a difference if we can get and keep fit.

CLemence will never be fit, i'm afraid. BTW, who is going to pay for these new players, and by my reckoning we will have a first team squad bigger than most Prem teams - I think you are forgetting what league we are in.

This thread relates to January. Hopefully Clemence and Dickov will be fit by then. Why would the squad be any bigger if the players i chose, go out, and the same amount come in :102:

I know what league we are in, its the players who are confused.

RS said Clemence will never be fit. I have heard this from at least two other people too.

You can't just get rid of players. Oakley will not want to take a wage cut to go elsewhere. As we've only just got Adams, and he's impressed me pretty much every time I've seen him, I don't quite see your rational in getting rid. King is one of our best young prospects for a fair while and is finding his feet ( and the net from time-to-time ), and can only get better IMO. I wouldn't be suprised to see him in the full Wales squad shortly ( yes, I know that doesn't mean much ). We appear to be getting a bit of team spirit for once and your idea is to break it all up. Doesn't make much sense to me. You still haven't answered my question as to who is going to pay for all these new players, and perhaps more importantly, can we attract players who are better than we've got - we are a third division team remember.

Why cant you get rid of players, whats a transfer window for ffs. If it was possible to get rid of the players i mentioned, thats what i would do. Your opinion of King and Adams is just that, your opinion, i think they are lightweights and will tread water here. As for paying for players, if the players i mentioned moved on (sold or loaned), along with the money we made on the likes of Hume, Stearman etc, surely its feasible we could buy/loan new players.

As for a team spirit, can you tell me where youve seen any this season, because all ive seen is a team going through the motions, and looking fairly average for the most part.

enderby asked a hypothetical question, and i gave my answer, hypothetical as it may be.

Why cant you get rid of players,

They are under contract? BTW, the evidence of your eyes is different to mine, fair enough. However you might not have seen some of the games I did in which case that would explain it.Did you go to any of these away games, that I thought were pretty good and I saw more than enough effort, and at times, imagination:
Fulham, Cheltenham, Leyton Orient, Colchester, Huddersfield & Oldham.
I'd find your reply quite informative.

I'd like to see us sign a midfielder who doesn't mind getting stuck in, a ball winner. Someone like Lennon or ince used to be. I know we have no chance of attracting players as good as they were but someone similar.

We have got one in Nicky Adams. Max Gradel seems to me to have lots of natural talent as a winger but needs experience and he will only get this by being picked. I would put him on the wing and Adams who is hard and sometimes recklessly brave in the middle.
I would like to see us sign a big mobile centreforward. The ones we could name would probably want to go to a higher division. There must be young strikers at Premiership clubs who need experience of first team football and could join us on loan. I cannot name them but I bet that wise old Steve Walsh can.

Harry Redknapp was under contract.

What you see as 'pretty good' and 'effort and imagination' is not what ive seen recently. Ive seen an average effort for a squad that should be pissing the likes of Walsall and Northampton.

Over a season i go to most home and 2 or 3 away.I do listen to the match on the radio if not at the game. I also listen to reports and what is said by a few posters on here whos opinions i trust.

You say Clemence might not return, where have you heard that.

Harry Redknapp was under contract.

What's that got to do with us getting rid of players?
Redknapp chose to leave, and Spurs had to pay a fortune for him.

If we want to get rid of player we'll either have to pay up their contract, or another club will want to sign them and the player will want to go.
If we have players on Championship (or better) wages they won't go to clubs at a lower level.

Given the massive losses that we are to expect this year, I suspect the kitty will be somewhat meagre come January. A few astute loan signings may be the best we can expect.

I have been told he may have to retire, something to do with internal bruising of the bones, what ever that is.....:102:

I think that's like where the bones get bruised on the inside, not that I'm a medic or anything.

I must admit, I struggled for a minute, but once I looked at it it was pretty obvious.

I'm amazed you didn't work it out yourself, oh, no, hang on a minute.

So what your saying is, if your under contract you cant move clubs :102:

Also havent the wages come down because we came down a league.

all the players who stayed this season, enjoy a reduction in wages as per the contracts they signed.

Get rid of everyone, replace them with everyone else.
