I maybe wrong but in the games that Leeds were in violation of the rule, they gain no points anyway.

I like the irony in the fact that they cheated to no benefit. Couldn't have happened to a nicer club.

Clubs are allowed to register a maximum of eight such signings, four under 23 and a further four over 23 in any season, with only two of the latter age group being allowed to come from the same club.

Additionally, The League, with the approval of the FA, made provision for clubs to take players on short term Emergency Loans (minimum period 28 days, maximum period 93 days) during the closed periods in exceptional circumstances – there is no limit on the number of emergency loans. With the exception of a goalkeeper, emergency loan players cannot be recalled in the first 28 days. Any recall must be agreed by all three parties.

As in previous seasons, no more than five loan players will be allowed to feature in a club’s 16 man matchday squad.

So....

• Glombard and Yeates are both under 23
• Horsfield and Jarrett are both over 23
• Andy Welsh was 22 when he joined us but 23 when he left! I guess the key word in the definition above is registered so that would put Welsh in the U23 category.

Which means we can sign up to 3 more playes on loan. Of those 3 signings we can sign only one more player under 23. We can sign up to two players over 23 but they cannot both be from Sheffield Utd or Preston.

Thats cleared that up then....All we need now is a new investor....
