Well I think all in all that was good business for Everton. As a league one player you can't deny his goals, however his all round play has always been quesionable and its obvious his step up from league one was too big. From a Leeds point of view our team going forward strengthened when Beckford left. Ok we were crap at the back but going forward Leeds were one of the best teams in the division. Becchio scored more goals than in league one,so did Gradel Howson and Snodgrass. I guess my point being there wasn't that 'selfish' targetman anymore and the team going forward started to play much better which was a good shock seeing as most Leeds fans at the time didn't want him to go.
Im not surprised Beckford has left the prem, I am surprised Leicester paid £4m for him. He loses the ball more than he gets it, he is extremely lazy (and I dont believe the myth that a good striker is lazy) but one on one he is exceptional "in league one". I can't see him struggling at all in this league but he still needs to learn that all round game that didnt fail him in league one but failed him in the prem.
