At times, we need Wellens to make us tick. He can be frustrating, slow play down and try ridiculous balls but at least he occasionally tries to get the ball forward.

I liked Danns' urgency and pace vs Derby but against Brum he was very poor.

He's inconsistent and looked to be slightly resting on his laurels in the early part of the season. Occasionally needs a kick up the arse to realise that he's got a job to do rather admiring his passes.

When I saw the goal on SSN last night, I thought the defender deflected the ball towards the goal.
IMO, The goal scrutinisation panel may give it as an own goal.

It definitely hit their defender.

However as far as I am aware (though I stand to be corrected), as long as a the original effort is on target, then a deflection doesn't make it an own goal. As far as I can tell Beckford's header was heading goalwards.

Definite own goal, no doubt about it. Was directly in front of me and everyone around me was surprised when it wasn't announced as own goal over the tannoy. Watched the goals on SSN when I got home and you can barely tell. Beckford barely glanced the ball and it was going nearer to the corner flag but it hit their defender and went it.

So whats the latest with Beckford? All I heard was that he was taken off due to his approach to the game, that's all I heard on SSN.
If this is true then he definately is not the same player. Having said that Ive said all along that Sven never used him properly and that your new manager whoever that may be will need to do this otherwise Beckford easily goes into sulk mode for a while. He also needs to realise he is not the 'main man' like he was treated in league one.
