Reminds me of when Jock Wallace was manager. I was at College and did an exchange with a German student. He arrived on a Friday and I took him the next day to see City and Jock came on the PA (which was not the best in the world) and no one in the ground understood a word. Wolfgang, who spoke very good English, turned to me and said that he thought he spoke very good English (modesty was not his strong point!) but he did not understand the manager, I could not resist just saying oh, well never mind a few weeks practice will help.
