According to Joey Gudjonsson in Icelandic media, he is seriously considering returning to England after three clubs including Leicester have contacted him about his availability. Joey has been collecting bench splinters at AZ Alkmaar since joining the club last summer and is apparently desperate to return to England.

Leicester, Leeds and Stoke City are all interested in taking him on loan but he would prefer Leicester over the other two clubs.

Would be a good move, however it does seem a little bit of mixed messages bearing in mind the constant reminding by the club that there is no money available.

A-Z there is a bit of cash available that they are saving until Jan but it could be used to get Johannes in :038: :038: :038:

I had heard that rumour myself, however what with the recent talk of the club being short on the original attendence budget I had wondered whether this money had been swallowed up to cover this unforeseen shortfall.

Get him on loan now and get Hughes and Johnson out on loan to cover the balance.

He never wanted to leave and if the above statement is true, then I suspect he is regretting the clubs decision not to offer to renew his contract after the management change even more than he did at the time

This couldn't go wrong, he is a self motivated player, probably the only one we would have. Get him

I dont think so. I was told only on Friday that there was cash.

Get him in! I believe he was a uniting force within the team, he seemed to get along with everyone and basically although Joey's form was not always top notch, he was hungry and wanted to win.

Is it Joey's Uncle posting?

Pillow talk with TNBD ??? :icon_lol:

In the league paper yesterday, Andy Johnson gave an Interview denying recent rumours of unrest in the camp and that there was a split in the City dressing room, interesting because I don't recall reading or hearing about such rumours, anybody else care to elaborate.

He regretted signing the pre contract anyway and wished he'd stayed here. Get him back over here now!

Hope it does happen, but I just cant see it myself.

Probably going to get linched for this, although Joey was our best player last year IMO he was the best of a bad bunch and not going to be the saviour everyone is setting him up for.
His performances for us in his time here were mostly 'could do better' and he never really found his best position.
Our midfield is dire at the moment with no player really knowing/playing in their best position and this was the case with the same players last year including Joey, so how is he going to be the 'breath of freshair we need'?
He never grabbed a game by the balls and dictated play in the past so why should he now and the only new player to try a partnership with is AJ and he has been toss.
Yes he would be better than we have, but not IMO going to have a big enough impact to change it too much.

Just looked at the thread of FT. There is nothing to this, it is someones first post, with no link in support...most likely they are just taking the p*ss!

Still, got my hopes up for two minutes!:icon_sad:

If it's a case of sacrifising Johnson to get Joey back, I've got no problem with that. Johnson was suppose to be the old head to guide our midfield and failed miserably at the moment. He's got no legs and if he's got vision he certainly doesn't display it on the feild. Thought he was going to good addition but have changed my mind greatly after watching him so far this season. Joey can put back some zest into the midfield.
