The quote was taken from an unreliable publication who could have just made it up.

You'll be eating Monster Munch when it's confirmed on the OS ;). We know how the OS is a bit slow on delivering information, besides there have been a number of sources, some we know must have close links with the club that all say it's a done deal. If this turns out to be a load of pickled onion, I'll eat some Monster Munch myself.. and I hate Pickled Onion Monster Munch.
 
Oh I totally believe it's true, I'm sure he's signed for us - just making the point that it's not confirmed until the club confirm it and they should pull their fingers out.

I'm sure they could have their own reasons for holding back the news, but when it's in the public domain like this it looks really unprofessional to not confirm the signing on their website, which should be the first point of information for everything concerning the club. I think the point I'm trying to make is that the OS is ****ing dreadful.

I've often wondered how they are staffed. Seems like there is a 3rd party company building the actual pages (it appears most sides have the same template) and I would assume they are all on the same CMS too. Is there someone on staff responsible for keeping rosters updated, and the data side of things or is that 3rd party too?

As for the content, I assume that is in-house?

So, if it takes the OS another week or more to announce it, will it still be speculation despite him playing against Real Madrid?

Or perhaps as the whole media team is away (and has seen at first hand in Sweden) they might not be able to release everything they want to.

It was amazing to see the number of dongles, plugged in to other dongles etc whilst in Sweden, and it could be that they have the same problem.

The deal is confirmed, end of.
 
Paintsil signing being reported on every sport site, Sky, Teamtalk to name two, also in the Merc, surely it is confirmed by now even if its not on the OS

Do people not understand the meaning of the word confirmed? The only people who have the authority to confirm that this transfer has gone through is the club. They haven't done this yet. It's not confirmed.

He's obviously signed, the club just haven't announced it yet - I can't see why people are getting so annoyed about it? Why are you all so desperate to have the little prefix on the thread title changed?!
 
Isn't that Pantsil being kicked up the arse by Sol on the Villach Training Picture Special on OS. Does'nt mean his signed though. May be that everyone has to kick him up the arse before he gets a contract.

Yes that would count as someone from the club, assuming the place that is quoting him is a reliable source - BBC, Mockery, Sky etc.

Where did the quote you posted come from?


I deleted a thread yesterday that was based on a story on an African website, that hadn't been posted anywhere else. I haven't seen any of the other articles related to this so far.
 
Based on the article from ghanasoccerstars, or whatever the hell that website was.

Just how did some website from the arse end of nowhere gets the exclusive story? I believe he's signed, but I'd take those quotes with a pinch of salt.
