The official site has a story up about the club and Johnson are in talks to negotiate a contract termination. It also reveals that Yeates has gone back to Spurs. Article here.

The clearout has already begun. Lovely stuff!

Two wonderful Kelly signings who have done marvels for the club this season

It's a tragedy that they have to leave

I shall really miss these quality players who came here and gave it their all^

its nice to see NW taking a step up and getting rid of the players he sees as dead wood, i reckon NW must have been watching the leicester team for a while if he brings in mattock and get rid of players that didnt perform at the club, maybe MM told him that if he sacks RK he would be current manager so be aware and ready.

I wouldn't be too hard on Yeates,he's a young lad and may improve but Johnson is a and alwways has been a useless no good cnut

Seems strange to me though. We won't be saving much money by getting rid now and we might need them in the last couple of games. I guess we're close enough to safety now that they think it will be ok. And obviously there's the Johnson contract extension thing going around, so that one makes sense.

Nice to see some crappy players going. Bye!

I think it's really weird to see a story that we might be releasing AJ.

Not to me;) Two players with no heart or desire to play for LCFC. He may be only here for a short time, but at least NW is giving a message to the other players that shirkers have no place here in future,

This sounds very plausible, and it contributes to my thinking that maybe NW should be given a chance.

NW has said previously that he saw mattock play a few times for England and knew how good he was before he came here.

im worried that other managers think the same :(

everyone was raving about aj not so long ago (when we had that winning run-remember that!?) though whenever i've seen him hes always looked shite.

Yeates was sat in an executive box with some other players at the Birmingham game. I might be wrong but the impression I got from him was that he was a little on the cocky side.

I think it is a bad sign that some of these youngsters are getting bad advice about behaviour, or ignoring good advice. Yeates is described as cocky, Stearman is reported as being anywhere but training. Last season Ryan Smith was supposed to be the next great thing, but isn't as Derby have found out. Do some of these kids believe that having a professional contract means you turn up occasionally for training but it is OK to get rat-arsed the rest of the time?
