If his solution is Kamil Zayatte, and he is prepared to trade Fryatt then his judgement is even more flawed than i suspect. However, if Fryatt is not happy then its best he moves on i guess.
No mention of Sousa in the piece, just NP's supposed thinking. Total non-starter I would have thought, just a bit of guff in hardly the best newspaper in the world.

If this swap were to happen, i'd give up!

We shall soon see.

It would be a positive sign if Sousa plays Fryatt alongside Waghorn at Coventry. Otherwise I fear that the plan is to get rid of Fryatt. This would be another step on Sousa's road to failure and create more mess for someone else to clear up.

I'm with you on that. If Fryatt and Waghorn don't start on Saturday then I fear the worst.

i'd swap Fryatt for 500,000 plus Zayatte and Bullard. That way we can use the Fryatt cash to pay Bullard's wages. Zayatte can help pad out numbers of quality defenders.
Waghorn, Howard, Gallagher, Crncic + a loanee of the type of Vaughan would be enough up front. Remember, we played a shitload of the season without Fryatt last year to some effect.......
Bullard would be a great, great signing now he's back to fitness....he's the sort of player who wins you the championship, not Fryatt (although i'd rather have all of them in the squad!)

Can't believe people are giving credence to a nonsensical rumour written in The Mirror

It's bollocks, and will never happen

Bonkers! The fee you plan to get for Fryatt would pay Bullard's wages for no more than a few weeks.

And which quality defenders did you have in mind? We've not signed any and the ones we had have turned to shit under Sousa's guidance.

Half a million would only last three months. Or are you expecting him to take a pay-cut?

we could take Zayatte permanently and Bullard on loan as Hull would appreciate the lessening of pressure on their wage bill . £22,500 a week (our contribution during the loan) a week would mean 500k stretches into the new year.

Remember FRYATT has never scored more than 13 goals in a season at Champs level......he's a quality player but not the be all and end all....

Remember Bullard has had a string of serious injuries over the last couple of years and Fryatt is still the best goal scorer at our club.

I also doubt that Bullard would come here as he probably has a few Prem clubs after him.

He'll never be back to fitness. Hull were made mugs of that deal. Do you know Hodgson would have just flogged him on a whim if it wasn't for his knee?

Yes and bar the ever-fading Howard, it's the only striker we have on the books whose scored as many as that in a season at this level.....(yes the season he spent three months out injured).

No-one signed bullard in the transfer window due to wages/worry about injuries.
Fryatt has been out for at least 2-3 months of each of our last 2 campaigns.
Not saying we should do it. Just saying that Fryatt isn't Chopra, Whittingham or Kevin Phillips 25-30 a season in the Championship. So we need to be open minded about what we need to move forward.

So you've changed your mind since you wrote the first sentence of post #87?

suggesting that it shouldn't be dismissed if there is any truth to it.

Also - Bullard is proven Prem class - i'd be very surprised if Abe and Moreno are in his class......although i'd be happy to be proven wrong...
