A claim for 'wrongful dismissal' has been lodged and acknowledged by the FA.
The Hereford player who was dismissed has also appealed on the grounds that he was not the player involved in the incident with Levi Porter - he cites Martyn Giles as the person who should have been sent off.
All evidence to support the appeals must be lodged with the FA by 1:00 p.m. and both hearings will be held tomorrow afternoon. (Claims are heard by Disciplinary Commissions and consideration of the appeal is based on video evidence and written submissions only; neither Kisnorbo nor anybody from the club will appear. Disciplinary Commissions may increase the penalty if they deem the claim to be frivolous!!)

Has anyone seen the sendings off on a replay yet? Was Kisnorbo's a definate red or was it a little harsh? What are our chances of getting it down to a one-game ban?
Me and my freind were wondering about this earlier. It's for all domestic compitions and not jsut for the league cup, right??
Just wondering, because if you get sent off in Europe the ban is only for the European games, but i guess that's because it's a different organisation running the compitition

I spoke to loads of people after the game and not one had seen anything of the incident - perhaps the ref was the only person who did!
Don't know what chance there is in this particular case, but the player and the club must think that there is some chance after reviewing the video or they wouldn't be risking the possibility of an increased punishment for a frivolous claim. Last season about 20% of the straight reds were appealed against. In some cases the appeal was withdrawn before teh Disciplinary Committee got a chance to hear it and in some cases the evidence/video was not available to the commission and therefore the appeal could not proceed. Out of the 65 appeals that were heard, 23 were upheld - so Kisnorbo's chances might seem to be slightly better than 1 in 3. Perhaps Jeff could open a vbook on the outcome.
I've seen some reports that say he stamped on their player when he was on the ground, others that say he kicked their player in the head. :icon_conf
Has anyone seen TV footage of the incident?

I'm not even sure that I saw any players of either side on the ground in the moments before the red card was shown. I joked earlier about what Kisnorbo might have been saying to the Hereford player immediately after having been shown the red card, but I think it was clear that he felt that the player had got him sent off.
Don't expect they'll be showing any video of the incident down here in the south-east though.
