Can't believe I'm saying this as he was our best player last season but I think it's a good thing for the team. :icon_eek: It takes a difficult decision for Pearson.

anyone want to do the points/per game this season with and without Kis ? :)

Realistically, people shouldn't have expected Kisnorbo to be at peak form after he returned from a lengthy injury and this latest set back isn't going to improve things when he returns.

Kisnorbo went from zero to hero over the last couple of seasons..and now unfairly he is being treked back towards the zero position.

I can see good reasons for City selling him in January if he isn't going to renew his contract but I'm struggling to see how any club is going to pay a fee for him at that time given his recent injuries record and the fact that he is quite likely to move on for free next summer.

could be the best for us...middling championship clubs are not going to be jumpipng over themselves to sign an injured, injury-prone player who didn't set the world alight on his return

he'll sign for us with a bit of luck and get back to being great slowly

But he has never been able to pass, which is a major downfall. Last night Morrison, Hobbs and Tunchev were passing the ball out of defence to the midfield, who could then set up attacking plays. Kisnorbo just hoofs it every single time, and he did the same thing last season when he was fully fit, McAuley was the same.

He has skills and his uses; he has major limitations.

From time to time people on here have speculated on absurdly high transfer values for Kisnorbo. If he doesn't want to sign a new contract with City, I can see him going back to Scotland.

Indeed on both points. IMO if he stays it should be as cover behind Morrison and Tunchev.

Correct, he's a liability. Won't be sorry to see him go, vastly over-rated in my view.

I think he was brought back too soon when there was no real reason to do so,playing him seem to unsettle the defence

I'm surprised at the turnaround in people's opinions of Kisnorbo. He's been just about our only decent player in the last two seasons and has played only one or two games this season since returning from a lengthy cruciate injury.

OK, I understand we are now playing a slightly more expansive game than we used, and that is not particularly suited to his passing ability, or lack thereof, but surely he's not turned into a completely crap player overnight has he?

Also, I don't think it's fair to criticize Pearson for bringing him back too soon. It's not even the same knee, so is obviously unrelated to the previous injury.

Trouble is, DF, saying he's been our best player is damming with faint praise I'm afraid. His inability to pass the ball out of defence just becomes more and more embarrasing.

Plus I agree with what Hazz said. He's a good backs against the wall defender and this plays to his game as a stopper. I reckon he could do a job with a struggling Championship or even Prem team.

The problem is we have much more possession and we're trying to break teams down and we look a different and better team with Tunchev and Hobbs or Morrison at the centre.
