Does Craven Cottage not still have standing areas?

I have just had a look at their website. They no longer seem to have any standing there. I think we were their last opponents in the time that their standing areas remained and they have been all-seater since their return from Brisbane Road.

cardiff still have standing section too.

Cardiff are only in their third season in the second tier and do not have to immediately comply with the regs for the level. I believe that this is the last season in which they will be able to retain a standing area.

but an adults only stand or even section, i would quite like as i think this would be the perfect oppurtunity to put the singers and atmospheric fans together.

There is nothing stopping the singers from singing and creating atmosphere in the ground now, apart from whats happening on the pitch. I think that people who take there kids into areas of the ground other than the family stand and then complain about swearing and singing should have a little word with themselves. If they do not like this behaviour then they should be in a designated area where this sort of thing is strictly not allowed such as the family stand. This policy should then be strictly enforced and anyone in the fs who starts swearing etc should be sorted out. I personally dont like the idea of an adults only area for singers and atmospheric fans to get together as I would like to think i fit into that category, I wouldnt want to have to move to a different place in the ground just because i wanted to bring the nipper with me. Its my decision, wrongly or rightly to take him into that area.

Totally Agree!! :038: :038:

It makes me laugh when people take kids into the kop and then moan about the language.

i often thought, but when i go thru turnstiles the bloke dont look at my actuall ticket in the front of my ST he just rips the bit out for the days game so i wondered what would happen if you tried to go in through some other turnstiles because they never look.

just like i have bought a £5 student ticket for bolton, but im no student, havent been for near on 2 years. but i still have an old NUS so if they ask, im well armed!

good lad, me too been on kids tickets for away games for years as has me mate whos 6 foot 5, only been questioned once and that were at villa.. i got me DOB wrong but said it with so much confidence the brummy slope head let me thru....tit

So far i am amazed at the poll result. 12 for and 7 against. How have we managed to ask 7 more people than the club did in regards to important issues. lol only joshing.

I for one would leave the kop where it is and move the away support into the side stand next to the Kop. I know there are reasons why this cant/wont happen and its been discussed before but i believe that these issues can be sorted out. I think its a little silly to have the away fans next to the family stand.

it is even sillier considering all the trouble that happens in L1 that when teams bring small gatherings of fans they put them to the side nearest L1 instead of more in the middle. especially as the family stand never fills to the 'no mans land'.

Don't think the Kop should be moved, but the away fans moved down towards the Kop on the side just like at filbert street.

the police wont allow that though as it would mean them going past the ferocious fans of the east stand on the way out.

I dont think that is the case though i maybe wrong. TD said at the meeting that the away fans were in that corner as it was easier for them to get on and off the coaches and to walk them to and from the train station.

Oh aye - that's the one!

I was actually meaning to write Blomfontein Road - I think the spill-chucker must have changed it!
