Visited the Mason's Arms in Chorley yesterday. Local pub for local people and, like most Chorley pubs, no food. Landlord/owner was Nicky Reid, formerly a sturdy defender at Man City and Blackburn (and other places). Too young to have played against us in the 1969 Cup Final. His time at Blackburn was just about over by the time we played them in the playoffs for a place in the first Premier League season and he wasn't selected for the game.
It's his birthday today; he's away on holiday for a few days. Probably a choice between Blackpool and Morecambe.
Anybody else remember him?
