how old?

3 years 2 months, 38,000 miles

Don’t be fooled by the sport tag, it will be slow.

Check the rear electric window works, known to go wrong and can be expensive to fix. Also check the seals around it for leaking/rust.

And then check all the usual stuff like excessive smoking from exhaust, especially from cold start (although as its diesel there will be some of this). Check alloys for kerbing etc and check underneath to make sure it hasn’t done too much punishing off-roading (which I would very much doubt it has anyway).

Not got one or any idea whether or not they're reliable

However I do know a few people who did have one and pretty much all of them wish they hadn't - not sure if that helps

My sister has a petrol model, nothing but trouble.

you'll be filling up with petrol every 10 minutes

that would ruin it he is looking a diesel!

Anyways I have heard nothing but bad reports about the model you are looking at. The newer one seems to be better.

Not a glowing report then. :icon_lol:

maybe a VW Golf would be better after all, fancied something a bit different though.

Plenty of other soft roaders you could look at.

i dont know anyone with a good word to say about them. Head gaskets a major weak point.

test driving a Focus ST170 2.0 03plate tommorrow :)

(has anyone got anything bad to say about these?)

I know 3 people that have had brand new fords, including 2 focus(es) and they have all gone wrong within the first few months of having them.

Good Luck

:icon_lol: ffs!

Remember the landrover you were looking at was when it was part of the ford group!

Durham will probably know about ST's he was looking at them at one time.

Hence the reason I bought a Golf GTi instead :icon_bigg
