a friend of mine had it and said it's brilliant

however you have to stay awake during the whole process and you can smell a strange burning flesh smell

A colleague of mine went for an assessment he was either told his eyes were set to far back or the wrong shape :icon_conf

My gran had to catteract removed and she is a fan as she can see a whole lot better now

I know several people that have, and all say it's the best thing they have ever done.

Nah tried it still need specs for reading anything, however, the callouses on your hand do bleed less though and you save a bit on tissues and bog roll. :icon_lol::icon_wink

I asked an optician friend about it recently. (She's not my optician so has no vested interests in continuing to flog me contact lenses / glasses). She said that as I'm now on the wrong side of 40 my eyes are likely to start changing again.I think the idea was that people often become more long sighted with age and so even if the laser surgery corrected my basic vision I was likely to start needing reading glasses as well anyway. So sod that.

My colleague's wife (mid 20s) has had it done and loves it.
