Kruger was probably still injured from Saturday.
Jacobs was "cup-tied" after playing for Scotland.

I also read that he wanted to try new tactics in the one-dayers at the top of the order, hence Ackerman opening. Robinson and New don't exactly get the innings off to a flying start.
