They do allow people on crutches into any area, however, you are actively encouraged to sit in certain areas. They say this is for your own safety and the safety of others. You are not treated on an individual basis. I should know as i had various run ins with stewards and the customer service manager. I have to use crutches all the time due to a disability and have hapily sat in the same seat for 5 years behind the wall above where you enter the seating (they call the entires vomitries for some reason). I asked for a seat there as that way noone can jump up in front of my to block my view on the rare occasion we score!
However i have been asked to move to a set "ambulant disabled supporter area" so they can "police us" and ensure we are not a danger to the rest of society! I have in the past obtained substantial discounts on prices due to this and have a "carer" ticket free which is great. However, in order for me to stay in my current seat now instead of moving to the new areas where I will miss half the goals when people jump up (an understandably they do so, i would if i could, by the time im up everyone esle has finished celebrating!!) i will have to pony up double the price as they will only discount you if you sit where they want. Im not saying thats unfair, as i still pay a lot less for 2 tickets as anyone else, but they do not treat you on an individual basis. I can get to my seat far safer than any old person could despite being on crutches but they dont put all the old people together do they?? Its not in my interest to sit in the disabled area, that doesnt meet my needs.
On another note, parking is **** at the ground, however , the DSA are fantastic and i get parking allocated at the ground or at the old FIlbert street on a game by game basis. Used to park in the Eon car park with DSA but places have been cut back. Parking costs £1 a game whcih is a bargain. Only had 2 occasions this season where parking hasnt been possible. It would be worth ringing the DSA if you have to use cruthces temporarily to see if they can assist.
