Right i've just come back from Baggies and i am annoyed

If we want to gain promotion or atleast finish in the top ten we need:

* Train Nils on how to pass the ball
* Hendo has to come out and catch the ball at set pieces
* Need our wingers to actually stay on the wing and run at the defense and actually put a decent ball in
* Stop the long ball
* Need a centre midfielder who is slightly more creative and can score long goals, Hughes, Williams, AJ, are all defensive midfielders none of them attempt long shots
* Pass the ball to MF to feet not hoping he will produce something magic or even get onto the ridiclous long balls
* Play Hume and Fryatt upfront again.

Major probelm is that the issues we had in the summer we never dealt with adequately. Instead we brought in more defenders.

We still have the same issues of

- Keeper Rab and Hendo no matter how we argue they're both shite and not really comforting for the two centre-halfs who have been great so far...

- Left-Back. Nils is a centre-half. Sheehan is not ready nor good enough.

- Centre-Midfielder. General lack of spark.

- Left-Winger. Porter I feel is not quite ready for the rigours of Championship football.

- Back Striker who is a targetman. O'Grady although has potential, hes often beaten before he's on the pitch.

Don't worry about it, upon todays performance we won't make top 10

I didn't play, but I was tempted

i think we'll be lucky to make the top half of the table until they get a decent Centre Mid, AJ, hughes and Williams are all pretty crap!

We do not score enough Goals that is the problem.

Defence were solid today apart from Kentons idiot moment that cost the game. Why aim the fecking ball at the goal when there is a 60ft stand in front of him FFS

Midfield and forward line were dreadful. Pathetic even

We were so brilliant at the end of last season because of Hume and Fryatt's partnership. Why change it after a few games?

Simply becuase Hume was way off fitness at the start of the season.

Spot on FF, but the same can be said for most of the squad. They all looked off the pace and tired for the first 2 or 3 games.

However, I cannot accept this as a reason without finding out who's responsible for this sort of situation. The players, the manager, the club? Somebody has to be accountable for our players not being fit for the first game of the season. They should be at their peak.

They didnt do their regular run up Bradgate Park for starters. Inexperience of management if you ask me.

Didn't they :102: , I am sure they did something similiar then as I remember the photos. Or have I seen so many Bradgate photos I now imagine them to be there even if they aren't

All I can remember is a training camp at Loughboro Uni. The first thing O'Neill and Adams did was to get um running up that fecking hill.

We should of gone for Newell IMO.

Was hardly like he hadn't seen it the season before though. However with this years pre-season you have to remember that other than as assistant to CL during his playing career (im fairly sure) he has never been invloved in running a pre-season, as he was only an academy coach at Blackburn.

Although that said - he must have been aware of that himself, so it would have been adviseable to either leave it to the fitness coach (if we have one) or get one in to run the pre-season training.

Im not having a go at RK because I think he is a good guy and I think hes a better manager than CL, but I think you are right. He has proven he is good enough and I'm sure he would have come in the close season. Personally I don't see RK as a particularly long term manager, although I really hope we are successful under him.

I personally feel quite a lot of people harbour the same opinion as me and you, Kelly for his enthusiasm and me wanting him to become the next Boothroyd. We would all lack to do well. But you cant help feeling, hes a rabbit caught between the headlights. Kelly is not the 'Man', the one to make us progress.

Newell if they went for him in the summer pre-World Cup would have come. The clubs approach was not the best. They should of said to him 'The current club you are ran at is a shambles, the stadium is circa chic 1970s, the club is undesireable for players'. Come Leicester, where you played well as a player. Newell came in under a baptism of fire after been appointed as Luton manager via a phone poll, he looks tactical asture and reads the game. He buys the right kind of player. Look at his reactions at goals, it could be called soul-less or bored but he knows that the most important thing is the team winning at the final whistle. He knows that they are twists in games.
