As we are now half way through the season with half a new team who do you think will finish as leading scorer? My head says Howard as he will play every game if fit,Hume should be the obvious choice as he has a head start but his starting oppertunities may be fewer. What do you think?

If DJ gets a run in the team, he'll score goals off Howard, no question about that. I think it'll be one of the two personally.

I've said for a while now that DJ will come good if he stays here, and I think he'll be right up there

fryatt hell bag 2 today in our 4-0 win with howard and kisnorbo getting the other 2

My head says i have no idea and it would be pointless to try and narrow down the possibilities using any kind of sensible analysis of previous form as i have not seen Howard or Hayles play this season and the shape of the team and the tactics is presently (hopefully) changing beyond all recognition but my heart says Gary Lineker will pull on the old size fours again and finish up top scorer with 93 goals and he will score an injury time winner on the last day of the season that means we finish top.

There are only about 20 matches left. Hume has 6, DJ 4 and Fatty has 3 I think? Howard would have to score more than one goal per two appearances to finish top scorer IMO. That seems unlikely. Hume or DJ for me with whoever puts in the most appearances winning the honours. Probably DJ if he stays fit.

Thats providing DJ stays fit (Not a good track record so far,but must be said better than Collins John.)And Hume can hold a place down, imo Howard will play every game if fit and the others will have to fight for the 2nd strikers spot, competition that can only be good for the club

You're probably right about Howard playing most matches. IMO the wildcard is Collins John. He's been injured a lot but could be prolific if he partners Howard upfront regularly. But I have no idea what's happening with him.

1 chalked off

Holloway has been talking a lot about DJ and did so today again so he will obviously get a lot of games. DJ is my guess.

After yesterday Barry "the slipper" Hayles has emerged as a dark horse.

Still 2 weeks away from match fitness according to IH thats another game gone and another game for those in the shirts to impress

agree 100% i think Howard will bag roughly 12 from now till the end of season, and DJ will be in and around the box running onto flick ons etc and will get about 10, depending on fitness and if HUME doesn't keep him oout of the team. I also think BH will come on for the last 10 mins in most games and will get a goal every 4th game. Fryatt will be sold.

Easy, DJ IMO. He is still the most naturally gifted striker we have.
