I work for a German subsidiary of a Japanese company, the fact our German financial controller cannot speak Japanese causes huge problems when reporting and makes life very difficult for us, it makes sense to have a CFO who can communicate with the people he/she will be reporting to on a regular basis.

I don't really understand the dislike of Hoos, I met him a few times and he seemed OK (particularly the day he came into L block and spoke to me when a particularly stupid PC was making stupid empty threats), he had a few stupid ideas but he really was only the front man for Milan and made no decisions.
