Don't think so. Weale's not the tallest 'keeper by any means, and young Kasper is shorter than him according to Wiki.

Must admit I'm quite pleased with this, not that I wouldn't be happy if we did sign the 38yr old Egyptian instead of course...

Big, commanding, international, young, experienced, good shot stopper, dad's a legend etc.

Give Sven time, and they will come.

Not big, loud yes but not a general, youth aint usually a plus for a goalie and yes he stops a shot well but flaps like a seagull too.

Quite what relevance his father is I dont know.

I don't think they necessarily had a lot of choice in the matter if he couldn't agree a new deal. As far as we are concerned I think Schmeichel is better than what we've currently got, if the figure is around a £1m it's a good buy.

If they kept him for the last year of his contract & got promoted, he might want to stay and play premier football. If not, they'll be a more attractive proposition for another keeper.
If he is that good, for the sake of "losing £1million" seems a big gamble for a minor sum (relatively)

There's little better on offer (and prepared to spend a season in the Championship) - all told, a cracking signing which will strengthen the side.

Like Babs said - nice to see positive signings which have scope to improve further.

At the end of the season Leeds United and I both made a commitment to honour the last year of my contract and try to win promotion with Leeds United.
