No, he’s saying that having one player explicitly suited to a style of play at the centre of your strategy but continuing in that style when that player is unavailable causes the strategy to not work

He doesn't really deserve to start, but I'd go with Barnes for this match. He was the main threat against them last season. They are at their most vulnerable when teams break at pace against them.

And in the second half when Barnes has done **** all and we're 2-0 down, we should desperately chuck on Lookman and Daka at 71 minutes, who will instantly impact the match and allow us to score an excellent team goal with 10 minutes to go for the match to finish 2-1
