Crazy thing is, with this squad, I actually think we’d do really well in the Championship.

Question is, who stays if we go down? Mads going will be a massive loss but welcome revenue…if we get a decent amount for him.

If we keep the nucleus of players together, add some youth, we could again push for promotion. With someone half-capable signing players, I think we’d have a better chance if we came back up. So. Rudkin **** off basically.

We have to keep as many players as possible. Unlike last time, we can’t lose our best 8 players, with embargo’s and dedications looming etc.

Legit bone idol. Sees the Arsenal guy in acres of space ahead of him - doesnt even attempt to try and close him down. Piss poor excuse for a LB.
To be fair, he was blowing out of his arse by then. Mavididi coming on meant that any cover he had been given (from Ayew) evaporated. I don't think it's fair to question his effort. Ability maybe, effort, nah.

Thomas should play. No, he’s not very good either. But based on the game at Villa and Old Trafford, he is much less of a liability.

Totally agree. He’s an actual defender, doesn’t drift off too often and is a much better choice than VK. And considering how bang average Thomas is, that’s saying something.

Crazily, if Wolves lose (I think they’ll win), we’re one win away from 17th still.

Nope. Sell whatever you can.

Squad is fetid.

Even with losing Mads Leicester will get promoted, we are too good for the championship and not good enough for the premier league, we desperately need a decent striker. The only hope Leicester have is trying youth players because spending £20M on the likes of Skipp isn't working.

You need to score a goal to get 3 points. And Brentford will have at least one fit striker I would expect, so our defence will likely not look so good.

It won’t be long until Wolves pull away. We all know which three teams are now going down. That’s not me being negative, it’s me being realistic.

Can’t keep a clean sheet. Midfield is not very good defensively or creatively. Hardly ever score a goal. Apart from that we’re okay.
I also think that Wolves will pull away, and I think the current bottom three will go down, but I think today was signs of life rather than resignation.

Brentford are a completely different team away from home this season, their away form is amongst the worst in the league. I did watch the Brentford game last time, and I think we are better than we were then.

I’m most likely being overly hopeful, but I can’t afford to give up at this point.

we are playing every game with 9 players, our wingers are totally inept. We cannot press the opposition high up the pitch because yet again Ayew and BDR will not do the hard yards, this means Ndidi and Soumare are swamped in the middle
I’m not saying they were great, but harsh to suggest Ayew and BDR didn’t put in the hard yards today.

Did you witness Brentford destroying Leicester earlier in the season ? I wouldn't bet on Leicester gaining another point for the rest of the season
This isn’t realistic, this is pure pessimism.

I’ll take that bet whatever price you want…

As I previously said, Brentford have struggled all year away from home, and we look better than we did back then imo.

We can bridge any gap by signing decent players, and having a manager who is somewhat capable.

And then hope we have the passion and bollocks to give it a ****ing go. Survive. Slowly build.

Enzo leaving was a massive moment. And an awful transfer window doomed us.

We have won twice at home all season, Brentford are currently winning away at WHU...I would bet Leicester don't even score against Brentford

We need to blitz them from the start. Go into half time with a 2 goal lead and continue to start the second half with energy and relentlessness. Do our best to pressure them from the start and bring on subs to shore up after 65 mins.

Much easier said than done, but this is the only way we approach this game.

That’s not the bet.

You believe we won’t get another point all season.

Brentford are better than us, they are an established premier league side. Doesn’t make them unbeatable, and certainly doesn’t make our Friday night game a write off.

That first half provided Enzo levels of boredom. I honestly thought I'd yawn myself to death.

Let's get it right. Arsenal were horrific. They looked lazy, didn't do any running and had the worst player I've seen this season in Sterling. And that's with some stiff competition from City players.

We just seemed to be thrilled to be facing a team that weren't playing and that first half went on forever.

Second half was better as the game opened up. We all knew what was going to happen though. It was so obvious that the moment they withdraw Sterling, they'd create real chances. And so they did.

Once again I'll say it. RvN isn't a manager. He cannot influence games. Every game goes the same way. Every change is like for like (admittedly until the last minute when he went two up front when it was far too late). We're so easy to beat.

Best City player by a country mile today was Ayew. But he was surrounded by shit and it got much worse when that utterly useless waste of time Mavididi came on. It was his mindnumbingly stupid decision to take on the entire Arsenal side that led to their break from which they eventually scored. He's so out of his depth in the PL.

Only other player to come out with much credit is Coulibaly. I cheered Justin's injury and his replacement was a big improvement, although that's not difficult. How is he still not starting?

Worst player was again Vardy. Ball bouncing off him, running into dead ends, losing possession and making stupid decisions. He even tried desperately to get booked for a mad lunge but was too slow to make contact. Age is turning a legend into a donkey.

I'm sure that's exactly the team talk RVN gives, unfortunately it's given in the Leicester dressing room

Make up your mind, how can both happen?

To clarify - we're probably going down. Which means a likely transfer embargo in the 25/26 season.

But our squad currently looks too good for the Championship. This is based on our match vs QPR but also, looking at the quality of players, many of whom stormed the league last season.

So, assuming (boldly), we manage to come up in 25/26, then for 26/27 we need to rectify the mistakes made this season. I.e., get some half decent players in, and have a somewhat capable manager.

Enzo leaving really screwed the players up, i think. And with him in charge, I'd wager we'd have had a MUCH better transfer window. He stays and this season could've been so damn different.
