Ruud was a breath of fresh air after the depressing mess that was Cooper, but I reckon Dyche is the only hope (slimmest of chances) we have of avoiding relegation.

Never in the relegation zone, 0.83ppg, score in 11/12 matches = depressing mess.

Relegation zone, 6 defeats in a row, 0.4ppg, score in 4/8 matches = breath of fresh air.

They definitely were. But he's got the added bonus of being a football manager rather than someone who was a good footballer. We've stupidly applied the same logic that gets Rooney a new job every few months.

However, once again, worse player for us was Vardy. How many chances has he missed since RvN took over? You could put together a pretty cringing video of them. Had Daka, or dare I say it, Edouard, played over the last few games, could they possibly have been any worse?

A mess of a performance.

There were patches where we played some actual football and unbelievably, it was really good. The build up to Soumare hitting the bar for example was exceptional stuff.

And yet...

Mavididi gifts the ball away without a care in the world, Vestergaard is as strong as a finger of ****ing KitKat whilst Mateta just strolls past him, Vardy misses at least two he should have buried and then Daka puts the easiest chance of the lot about 3 meters wide from a yard out.

I didn't have a problem with the substitutions. We were much better after them, mainly because El.Khannous was completely lost out there and Buonanotte kept trying to run through people like he was Casper the **** of a ghost. We saw two or three lovely balls into the box from McAteer and we also saw him waste some good positions.

I can't even be that mad at Ruud, even though he's another complete dud. Aiming our anger at him would be like getting angry with the fireman who was given a watering can instead of a hose whilst forgetting about the **** with the matches who set your house on fire. Between them, Rudkin and Cooper are holding those Swan Vestas and a massive petrol can. The ****s systematically destroyed everything we had in put place and brought in complete shit. I said at the time that it was damaging us beyond repair and it's absolutely the case.

Sacking Ruud won't make a difference really. He may be shit but Dyche really wouldn't do much better with this horrorshow of a squad we have.

Daka is not good enough he fails to work the keeper, Vardy works the keeper 90% of the time, his link up play is also far superior.i agree he should have put two away tonight.

we have to score a minimum of 3 per game as our defence will gift a minimum of two goals to the opposition. There is a definite shape and style under RvN and imo we are playing better than under Cooper.

let's see what happens this January with transfers, Alex Ferguson would struggle with this lot and 90% of the squad are not good enough.

I agree about attitude you could see it in the two teams when they came out for the 2nd half, we were sauntered on as if we were 4 nil up.

Mcateer had been on the pitch literally 2 mins and could not be bothered to track back 20m, his defending for the 2nd was awful, is that youth or a lack of desire?

We hammered QPR. This side would be in the top 3 of the championship. The gulf between the championship and the premier league is huge and we just aren't good enough.

I'll be interested to see if we really invest now or whether we are cautious and almost accept our fate.

In terms of feelings, it really doesn't bother me greatly. It's just modern day shit football. I've lost the passion. It's even to the extent that I find it refreshing to see Forest at the top end of the table for once, instead of the usual elite wankers.

Complete dross yet again, aside from a brief uptick after the subs which was soon scuppered by our insipid defending.

When we have posession, we don't work hard enough off the ball to create options for the ball carrier. The lower midfield/ defence pisses away over half the game playing overly negative keepball that usually results in them getting themselves into a mess and having to hoof it and lose posession anyway. Then there's the actual defending which at its worst is utterly slapstic and at best, is championship standard. All of our defenders are piss weak aerially and most of them are piss weak physically. The scouting system can take the blame for this for their obsession with prioritising defenders who can 'play ball' over defenders who can defend.

Or how incredibly slow Vestergaard actually is? I mean it's quite a feat to be that decrepit.

Or how we still appear to have absolutely no idea when we have a set piece? This fella we snatched from Norwich in the summer has done **** all.

Or how we played a 38 year old in a meaningless game on Saturday and then flogged him for 90 minutes tonight and think that's sensible?

Or why so many fans didn't bother going tonight? There were several thousand empty seats.
