Chilwell won't play again until the FA Cup, Fuchs will be back despite how well Chilwell played today, Gray probably won't start either despite doing more today than Mahrez has done in weeks

It wouldn't surprise me and it's exactly the reason why some of this is Ranieri's own doing. Poor team selection, persisting with players that are in really poor form over ones that have looked decent on the rare occasion they've been given a chance. Chilwell was excellent today, Ulloa looked really good when he came on, Gray looked decent to - an improvement on what Mahrez has shown in the Prem this year at any rate and I think we should stick with King + Amartey over Drinkwater too.

What I'd like to see when available and IMO our strongest line up at the minute is probably:

Schmeichel

Simpson Morgan Huth Chilwell

Gray Amartey King Musa

Vardy Ulloa

EDIT - to add, yes I'd happily make Kasper captain and drop the shit out of Morgan if we had someone better to put in his place - has been poor this year. Hope we've got some in mind as Ndidi alone is not going to solve our defensive woes.

I think we were 4-3-3 at times. Early in the 2nd half.

I'm starting to think the previously unthinkable and questions Drinkwater's role in the team. He does seem to show his frustration easily.

Ulloa did more when he came on because we started getting desperate and lumping balls into the box. Slimani is feeding off scraps.
King and Amartey are bang average in central midfield but they have done well and worked very hard.

I don't blame him for that. Not the deflection anyway!

He and Morgan shouldn't have messed it up in the first place but at least Was was trying to get back. If his deflection had gone out of play, you'd be saying it was great covering!

Missed the game. Obviously didn't miss anything.

Yes that would have been great covering - but sadly....

Some strange opinions on display in here tonight.

Anyone who thinks we looked like winning that needs sectioning.

Anyone who genuinely thinks we persist with Andy King in midfield as first choice deserves a life sentance.

Absurd

We were utterly clueless in nearly every department, and if we cannot supplement our abysmal away points haul with 3 points at home against drab shit like Everton then we are in deep deep trouble.

What is the distraction now Claudio?

We were absolutely shocking

Truly awfully, dreadfully feckin awful

With the obvious exception of Chilwell, the lot of them were desperately godawful crap against a woefully inept opposition

Slimani was terrible. Beyond awful, really. And Andy King is just feckin' shite, isn't he ? Pathetic

But a special mention for the wonderful Marc Albrighton, who put in a hopeless embarrassing display of total and utter dogshit. Clueless, wasteful, gutless and lacking anything in the way of technique, competence or cmmitment. And that summarises his good points

The quite unfathomable dcision to leave him on and take off Gray, was simply staggering in its stupidity

We are deep, deep, deep in trouble here, because that was appalling

God help ys when we play someone half decent

At least Ulloa didn't score today. Will give him some chance of taking Slimani's place next game.

I thought the first half was decent, but the substitutions messed up any momentum we had.

Taking off Okazaki and leaving Slimani alone up front and then taking off Gray for Mahrez were both idiotic decisions. It left us with no pace, movement or energy in attack.

We looked like we might create something in the first half, but the changes made scoring impossible.

Claudio takes the blame for this one IMO.

Just back from an overseas Xmas. Can't say I'm surprised at what I missed.

Three points:

1. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Drinkwater is good in a winning team and fecking awful in a losing one. He has the backbone of a prawn. We cannot ever rely upon him in times of difficulty.

2. Albrighton has been beyond awful for almost the entire calendar year. Over and again, he runs about with no purpose or end product. Quite why is has taken yet another shite display for you to see what's been in front of your eyes for so long is beyond me.

3. Slimani is an excellent striker when you play to his strengths. We have decided to play to his weaknesses instead. Utterly ridiculous and it wouldn't surprise me if he wasn't starting to get the right hump.

I'm pleased to hear that Chilwell impressed.

Anyone see Fuchs, Huth or Vardy?

I've seen a few people make that comment about not playing to his strengths. If it's his alleged aerial ability then I think we've seen enough to realise that's just made up as he rarely wins headers and when he does he's only marginally less shit than when he tries to kick a ball. He can wear gloves and jog a bit. that appears to be his contribution to games. Based on the lads valuation in the summer we've been resting Ulloa for a £3b move to China in January.

Slimani never gets delivery into the box. If you are expecting flick ons from goalkicks then you will be dissapointed. Thankfully he has the brains not to do this.

Spot on

Today we played it to his feet. We also played a few balls down the channel to run on to. Mainly we played a fair few high balls down the mddle, and across from the flanks

Without exception, he fecked up every single opportunity

Absolute bollocks

A belated Christmas gift of 3 points.

A decent team performance that was badly let down by a few individual performances. Albrighton and Slimani are both well past due a good dropping and our lack of quality and depth in the central defending positions is really dragging us down - literally.

There were positives, but it's getting later and later to be settling for positives over points.

Are you on crack? Albrighton played well and worked his socks off! Waso was about as fast as an asthmatic sloth and keoman exploited it.

Everton had two shots on target and scored had ulloja of scored we would have battered them we are devoid of confidence, hard Vardy and huth been playing we would have buried them

Perfect analysis that is why we have struggled and the reason why our attack has not got going

It was, and I say this seriously, like watching Mark Devries play.
