They were world class. 2-0 is not a bad defeat. They'll walk they league and win champions league. Fair play.

They are a fantastic side. Utterly fantastic. However, I just feel we gave them too much respect. Saying that, if we'd have squeezed onto them and tried to stop them playing we'd most likely have conceded 5.

Manchester City were excellent. We set up all wrong if you ask me but I'm not sure there is any way we could have set up which would have contained them.

The usual suspects will be along in a minute to tell us why both goals were Harry Maguire's fault.

If we could only pass the ball somewhere near the same as Man City we could got a goal if not 2.
Pity Harry's shot didn't go in as that would have been 1-1, although I think Man City would still have got a second

On another day they’re playing the majority with10 men and we score at 1-0...

But, no big deal, they’re decent that lot..

Can't grumble too much at being beaten by a far better team. Our forward play was absolute shite though.

We were beat before we kicked off.

Fair play to Man City, they are quality and they beat us in 2nd gear because some of our key players were completely shit.

How many 1 on 1 situations does Mahrez want before he actually beats his man?

Vardy, I'm sorry to say was uninterested and his movements were unintelligent and pointless. He scuppered the only decent chances we had, he constantly ran straight down the middle between both CB's and he rarely ran across the back 4 to try and drag them about.

We've signed multiple players with no intention of using them properly, why the **** was Ian Nacho subbed on?

I feel we didn't do enough ourselves when we had the ball. Man City misplaced many passes and we didn't penalise them once due to lack of movement and lack of belief.

Overall an expected result but an unacceptable level of performance.

Spot on.

Bewildering decision to play Albrighton as a 'number 10'. Also, the mad idea of playing Iborra in an advanced role leaving Ndidi to mark both De Bruyne and Silva. If I was in the changing room before the game being instructed to do that load of bollocks, I'd have feigned an injury to get the feck out of there.

If ever there was an example of showing a side too much respect, this was it. Everything we're strong at, we didn't do. Feeble from Puel.

That said, the ref was also a total wanker and bottled it big time. It was a clear red for me. However, once Kompany was on a yellow and then Stones off injured, what did we do to exploit them? Absolutely nothing.

I was most concerned watching our players faces when they scored the first goal. Their heads just dropped and they seemed to immediately accept that it was game over. Shocking attitude which has seeped into us a lot over recent months.

For Man City, I thought their keeper was excellent (were you watching how to distribute the ball Kasper?). If you allow De Bruyne and Silva all the space in the world they'll look superb and both did. Their front three I thought were awful. Simpson's positioning in the first half was atrocious but Sane was lazy and wasteful over and again.

Another point on Puel, he seemed happy to only lose 2-0. He wasn't trying to influence the match at all. His substitutions and positional changes were mind numbingly stupid. Still, early days I suppose.

I'm fecked off with that. I don't know if I'll bother going to the Spurs game as it will be exactly the same. We'll just watch them beat us.

Applauding Esteban at half time was the highlight of my afternoon. Utterly, utterly bored with the rest.

Just something on Man City as I was pretty vociferous about them beforehand.

The issue I have is that they don't play the game in a traditional way positionally. This undoubtedly causes issues when you play them but it also means that there are massive holes in their team and some really obvious weaknesses.

What winds me up is that everyone is playing against them without adapting to them. I thought that we were absolutely perfect opposition for them. We do all the things they don't and we can play in such a way as to exploit their weaknesses.

We stood off them. We kept the narrow back four against them. We didn't pick up their creative players. We also didn't put wide players against their full backs as ours tucked in allowing their full backs all the time and space they wanted.

It was so infuriating. I maintain that a smart manager will find them out. They really are not that good, they're just different.

If we had played in the way you suggest, do you not think they may have scored 5+?

If you insist.

I thought Maguire was trying desperately to appeal to Guardiola with his performance. "Look Pep, I can pass the ball from the back too, sign me". Problem was, as usual, his positioning and passing were fecking awful.

61% pass completion as opposed to Morgan's with 90%+.

So for England Maguire is like Beckenbauer, yet for leicester he needs dropping. Fabulous.
