Whilst I agree, I would also argue that it was because he barely had to do any defending. That was Chilwell's best game for us.

So he should have sat back more just so he had some defending to do??
Trying to point out your logical fallacy I thinkNot entirely sure what you are trying to post there either tbh.
think its a confidence thing, he's still growing into himself as a player is in and out of the sideAs regards young Ben. Does anyone else think he comes across as in awe of others.?
Sometimes he has the opportunity to run at players , but seeing a senior player, gives them the ball instead.
this is what annoys me about the idiots that have decided he's not good enough already, it's his second season in our first team squad full time, he's played 35 senior games and people seem to be expecting him to be as good as Ashley Cole was or something. It's a learning process and this is only his second/third year in senior professional football.
He's never going to be the complete player straight away but he does show some remarkable attributes that could make him a very good player in the future.
The way he can just glide past the opposition is ridiculous but defo needs to work on the defensive side.
Defo needs a good few more years to evaluate him properly but the signs are extremely positive so far!
Draw tomorrow, live on BT Sport after the Huddersfield/Manchester United game.

He is better defensively then people want to admit but doing that would mean 1 less reason to cling to Fuchs.
I also thought Simpson was a liability, Amartey did nothing to get dropped and should be back in the side next week

Young player has a fantatsic game and some people still not happy!?!
HallelujahI think the point is that the Sheffield United winger offered zero threat. Chilwell struggles when we as a team have to defend and absorb pressure. Last night we didn't have to do that.

He has the potential to make VVD’s transfer look a bargain. It's a learning process and this is only his second/third year in senior professional football.

Neither are good enough for this level at this moment in time. We desperately need at least one decent left back bringing in in the summer.I think most people are happy that Chilwell is Fuchs eventual replacement but there are still areas where Fuchs is the better player. I imagine there will be games where Puel believes one is the better choice over the other. I do not think you just make one the automatic choice over the other.
I’m with you there, they looked very threatening at corners, and they were always putting two players in front of Schmeichel to block him.Was anyone else crapping themselves every time they got a corner, or free kick? (No? Just me then)
They probably had some big blokes (without bringing the keeper up) but even so, we looked ropy against them. I wasn't at all confident in our defending set pieces last night.
