I’m not saying it’s not frustrating, or that it won’t at some point start costing us points, but they’re both about half a decade short of what are usually a footballer’s peak years. You’re not going to get 10/10 performances from them 40-50 games a season.

Aye I get that. I think with Mattock he looks great when he doesn't need to play well....ironically that would normally be against Villa type teams. The formation and lack of Barnes to pass to made his weaknesses stand out even more tonight. Hopefully for the second leg we have a wide player in front of Fuchs and hammer them.

I think Chilwell is an excellent LB and especially LWB who still has plenty to learn and today had a crap performance.

Having said that he's certainly not irreplaceable. Justin has impressed when he's been on and I think I read that he's been learning from Riccy which can only be a good thing.

It is painstakingly clear that we need a Riyad replacement, we could be deadly with a game-changer with pace, tricks and that je ne said quoisss

We really should be all in for Ziyech as he looked great in Ajax's CL run and just what we are missing.

On a side note, who are these wankers in the stands who can’t even last 90 mins without face timing their wives?

Oh christ

As if our support isn't numb enough as it is.

I can't get how anyone's wife would need to see up their partner's nostrils while they're at a match. ****in odd women them like.

Literally counted five of them in the vicinity of my seat.

According to the lady who sits next to us the mouthbreather who got my ST seat for the Wigan game took a bag of popcorn and filmed the whole thing on his iPad....

Strange decision to play 3 at the back tonight when they didn't have a striker. Slowed us right down until we started missing a CB out an dinged it quicker second half
Stranger still to not play a feisty holding midfielder when their strength is the axis of el ghazi and Grealish finding pockets of space between midfield and defence..
Any critique of the performance (and Chilwell and Tielemans were shite) is all academic really as if we hadn't hit their goalie from 6 yd range 3 times with Vardy and Maddison, and Vardy had have buried his 1 on 1 instead of side netting then we'd have dicked them at least 3-1. Even with a pedestrian performance I think 20 shots and 5 golden chances is still fair enough. Villa are utter shite.

Onwards...

It could be worse, we could support Villa...

Said no one. At all. You do yourself no favours with this kind of nonsense.
He only posts when he thinks he can patronise anyone who complains, you’re wasting the battery on your device by responding.

Wrong set up from the start, IMO

Why play a back three when the whole world knew they were going to set up 5-5-0 ?

And a complete disaster it was, not helped by the fact that the two twonks in the middle decided to play walking football for the first 45 minutes.

Tielemans was so utterly ****ing dreadful it’s beyond words

Thank the good Lord for Choudhury and Nacho who completely saved our ass from humiliation

Dont ****ing play that way in the second leg or we’ll piss away the only chance we’ve had to get to a cup final in twenty sodding years

Very annoying

And don’t get me started on ****ing Chilwell, FFS.....

Spot on Homey
