So proud of how the players competed over both legs, but in particular the 2nd leg we were magnificent. I feel Shakey has shown he has the tactical awareness and ability to make tweaks or formation changes that have a real fundamental difference and as demonstrated in the 2nd half of the home leg we have a genuine plan B in the wing back system, showing we are not a one trick pony that only plays 4-4-2.
From a personnel perspective I thought the players were magnificent from start to finish, however the performance of Chilwell as a wing back was a real bonus.
I feel real genuine positivity, that despite this ending the fairytale, under Shakespeare and the nucleus of this current squad we can go on to compete in Europe and achieve further success in the future.
