From what I saw today, Burnley are going to destroy us. If we can get our recent away form back, then different story. It felt like things changed when Shinji came on but as usual recently, too little too late. Does anyone know our win/loss ratio when Shinji starts?

Sadly, I thought Shinji was equally as bad as the rest of the team - he was incapble of beating a man, holding onto the ball, making a decent pass. If it wasn't for his 'towering' header to knock down to Vardy ( because their defender couldn't be arsed to jump up to challenge for the ball) he might as well not have been there.

It is sad to see players who have been our heros for City and given everything in the not so distant past (Morgan, Shinji, Simpson, Albrighton, Kasper) have fallen away so badly. Can't include Vardy in that, because he so rarely had the ball in decent position. The newer recruits have yet to find their feet, and based on recent home performances against weak teams, I fear we are in for another relegation battle next year.

How can you not get excited with:

Morgan to Simpson. Simpson to Morgan. Morgan to Maguire. Maguire to Chilwell. Chilwell to Maguire. Maguire to Morgan. Morgan to Simpson. Simpson to Morgan. Morgan to Maguire. Maguire to Chilwell. So are you saying it wasn't it the crowd who were screaming, "Pass back you, wanker!" or mutterings of, "The twat passed sideways there, when there was a perfectly good back pass opportunity!" "Passing forward? Now he thinks we're Brazil!"

I know what you are saying Rock and I too have a 'finishing' issue with Shinji. But look how the team was energised and reinvigorated when he came on. Bang! the game came alive and we were fighting. That's all I want.

You’ll want a new manager then.

It was a poor performance in which we did not do enough to test the Newcastle defence. It is acceptable to play across the pitch or back to the goalkeeper in a tight situation but we were doing it when a ball to Diabate or Vardy was possible.

Other people on this thread have praised Hamza's performance today; I saw no sign of real ability. Diabate was also underwhelming but I could see real potential there, Perhaps it was no coincidence that we scored when Demari and Shinji combined and Vardy was as usual in the right position. Demari has his faults but he makes things happen

I recently saw film of Joe Louis losing to an up and coming Rocky Marciano and Sonny Liston losing to Cassius Clay (Ali) Louis and Liston were both great boxers until age made them a shadow of their former selves. I was reminded of this with the performance of Wes Morgan. He will always be a legend as captain of Leicester's greatest side but he seems to have lost that vital edge. I would not like to see him tarnish his reputation.

You missed the dial killer ball...

...Out of play around about the half way line, generally on the RHS

I hadn't watched the highlights for this one. Partly because I knew we'd had very few chances, and partly because the forum wasn't exactly glowing about the performance.

And again, the forum proved right. What a total load of horseshit, and for both goals, what the ****ing hell are the defence doing.

Can't remember who said it, but it was stated that either Morgan is imperious, or he looks he's on roller skates. I get the impression he needs a Robert Huth next to him screaming at him to do things right.
Maguire needs a bit of guiding in terms of when he really should be hanging back.

We have a habit of conceding incredibly basic goals at the moment, and we're not creating anything.

It' now starting to get worrying. We really are ****ed when Mahrez leaves.
