we looked tired tonight and we desperatley need someone with a bit of flair in central midfield to break down these teams that park the team bus in fron of their goal.

I know he's gone and we have moved past it but we are crying out for someone like Mark Davies at the moment.

Weve certainly struggled at home since Davies left ( must get a good flair player for next season, not essential at the moment), we could limp over the finish line.

We were poor tonight, looked a bit tired especially Howard. We lacked any kind of ideas how to break them down, and to be honest they had the better chances on the break in the second half.Midfield was very poor and lightweight in the tackle,we need a ball winner.

Another (albeit slightly frustrating) step towards next season, another match off the list. I would imagine a new game plan is in order soon though - especially at home.

With a few exceptions we looked like we just didn't want to play in the cold and wet and would rather have been sat at home with a drink. I know I would.

But it's another point. I just feel we could have had 3 with just a bit of effort.

No interesting boots either but their no.19 (I think) had lovely long legs.

Are you Homer in disguise?

Perhaps little bit of complacency is slipping into our play and few players think we are already promoted...just a thought

are you getting it, Innocent? right now?

Yes.

The Leicester Blue Mongies are equally balanced by the Leicester Blue Moanies.

We are top of this crap league and unbeaten in 22. It's a club record - albeit in a rubbish division which we should never have been demoted to, were it not for Nigel Pearson and his brilliance in managing Soton's last few games.

Thank goodness we have his management here.

We don't need to win. We just need to avoid losing. It's simple. And it's being achieved, big time.

Get real and get behind the team that has managed this more often than any of our teams in our recent history.

PLEASE. STOP GRIPING.

xx

But the good news is

We are safe from relegation!!!! By my calculations anyway, only Hereford could catch us. We could not finish worse than 19th.

Smiley goes here.... How do I put them on my posts?

Well King tonight was about as much use as an udder on a bull!

Too lightweight, gets pushed off the ball easily and as for tackling, well he should try and do some.

You've got it set to use the basic editor, so it's not showing you the option.

Wow, I never knew that... there was me all this time using the list of them in the FAQ bit everytime I wanted something more than just :), :(, or ;)

Expect to see a lot more smilies from me from now on! :038: Muhahaha :icon_evil

:tumbleweed:

Okay, it's out my system now. :056: Now.

In that case, should you really still be calling yourself "Innocent"...? Hmmm..

We SHOULD have enough still to be promoted, as long as these draws don't start turning into defeats, but... the league certainly isn't all wrapped up. If MK Dons win all their games in hand (not entirely unlikely really), they'd be 5 points behind. Obviously promotion is the most important thing, but I think going up as Champions, particularly as comfortable champions, could have a good effect on the team for next season.

A fantastic finish to the season would give our players more confidence going into next season.

Having said that, I don't really think it's worth bringing anyone else in for this season (unless injuries force us to), as promotion is so close it almost seems a waste of money to bring extra players in now. Obviously if as we get close to the loan deadline we're still not over this blip and not looking quite so comfortable, then an extra player on loan should be considered. But I say leave it as is for now.

I said the same to my dad at the game, also I think some of the regulars may be getting tired legs about now.

Biggest idiot of the night award last night goes to Tunchev for trying to leave the ground in his car right after the match, only to get stuck behind the blockade whilst the fans left and being mobbed for autographs in his car.

Disappointing that we aren't turning many of these draws into victories, especially at home. IMO, LIKE Durham says we are tired, it has been a long season, a fairly young squad and Pearson has named a settled side throughout most of the season.

Now is the time to bring back Gradel and play with two out and out wingers again, the experiment with playing only one recognised winger worked well, but I think teams have now got wise and been able to combat it, also this tactic has impacted on the form and effectivieness of Lloyd Dyer whom earlier in the season revelled in the space afforded to him by operating with out and out wingers.

I also think that whilst Andy King has done extremely well, especially his goalscoring record, now is the time to give him a well earned rest. Cheltenham at home gives Pearson the ideal opportunity to freshen things up give some players a much needed rest and build some momentum.
