Total shit.

Lets put a little perspective on it, we finished the game without one recognised centre back on the pitch.

Truly, truly shameful

Thank feck I got stuck at work and couldn't get there

You could almost see a few of the players think **** this, I'm off in the summer at 4 which is why it got to 6 so easy.

Big questions on CS now, if we can get someone like Mancini I'd go for it tbh.

The one we did have on originally was the worst player on the pitch

And there is a little more perspective. No need to go overboard on this, we were shite against a very good side.
Chilwell is not ready. Benalouane is not good enough. Fuchs is not a centre back. Ndidi has gone backwards and probably needs rest. Amartey is not good enough in central midfield.
A big BIG summer ahead.

Pathetic.

Raises serious questions about Shakespeare. Another big call for the board to make next week.

****ing well pissed off with that. I ****ing hate Spurs and Kane.

As for City, they didn't look remotely proud or interested. Band of Brothers well and truly in the rearview and half of those players look like they know they don't have a future at the club. Injuries don't help, and it's been a long, eventful year...but still...

It's why I think you move away from Shakey...club needs a clear out.

And one of Jimmy Bloomfield's last games. 0-5 vs WBA at filbo?

All in all that really underlines the complete ****ing bollocks this whole season has been. Spurs are the same overrated bottlers they've always been, no vast improvement from last season for me. They've lost the league to a Chelsea side who are ...well, just well organised really. A pretty low grade uninspiring Prem season. We should have done so much better. Don't tell me we couldn't have finished above West ****ing Brom. Jesus.

A defending shitshow. Harry Kane assisted several times by Danny 'back up back up' Simpson. Went back to the post-title, pre-Shakespeare nightmare defending today. It really cost us, we started okay, then the Spurs goals really trampled us. Second half the same, came out fighting and looked good going forward, then again Spurs scored a few with ease and it killed us off again.

Chilwell probably our MOM.

As I was saying at HT, if we can read anything into what life will be like under Shakespeare we can see that we don't quite cut the mustard against the top teams. Is it wrong or greedy to be a bit more ambitious than that? I don't know..

Dreadful. From start to finish it was woeful. I understand that we had injuries but that's no excuse for such a capitulation. We have a dreadful bench which means there is just no quality to change anything. Musa and Slimani were as useless as normal with Gray completely anonymous but I suppose you can't blame them though. They walked out onto a pitch where everyone in a blue shirt had already packed their bags for the beach. Amartey is just not anywhere near the standard required and Ndidi has been so poor for the last few games it's untrue. Massive, massive investment needed and a big clear out of dead wood.

We were so short on creativity. Not one spark of it tonight.

I think tonight goes some way to explaining why Ranieri stopped listening to Shakespeare's ideas on tactics. Shakey has had a bit of success using Ranieri's tactics but **** me when he's changed things himself it has been woeful. We haven't seen tactics that bad since the infamous Pearson diamond.

Sorry craig, the players obviously like you, but you ain't gonna cut it with crap like that.

You can't pin it all on tactics. We have so few personnel worthy of a place in the squad it's unreal. That makeshift defence was dreadful tonight not because of tactics but because they can't defend. Fuchs is appalling at CB, Chilwell just isn't anywhere near ready as a defender to slot in at LB although he was still better that some. Benalouane hasn't been totally convincing since he came in if we are honest other than in sporadic matches against lesser sides and Simpson wasn't his usual dependable self tonight, perhaps because he was pulled about of shape by a CB pairing going AWOL every two minutes.

We were toothless in midfield because Amartey is not in anyway creative and we just had no spark. Ndidi has, for some reason, begun to look backwards instead of forwards. Where could we have changed it though? Gray came in and delivered little. The boy's got good feet but no end result. I like the kid but he's not quite good enough yet (I know he didn't have bags of time and to make a difference tonight before the inevitable comments). Who else could CS have brought on?

Up top, Okazaki was totally useless as he can be at times but who could we replace him with? Slimani, who charges around the pitch like a bull without any sense of purpose or Musa who has shown all the ability of a Trevor Benjamin?

Okay, it was negative from Shakespeare tonight, let's agree on that but don't underestimate the sheer lack of quality he has at his disposal.

I mean seriously? What the flying **** was that?

They were missing as many players as we were. They humiliated us. It could easily have been ten.

What on earth did Shakespeare think he was doing with those changes too? Fecking geeky football manager kid would know better than that.

Time for a new era. We've got £100m to spend this summer and I don't want Shakespeare anywhere near it.

They may have been missing as many players as we were but they have a squad at their disposal. We have Slimani, Musa, Gray, Wasil, Amartey, Chilwell, a kid from the youth setup and a permanently crocked midfielder. None of those options are good enough.

I'll just put this here. I don't want Shakespeare to get the job. It's got nothing to do with tonight. Yes it was pathetic in the extreme but I'm not about to get all knee-jerk over an end of season dead rubber where we had a depleted side. Shakespeare is a year older than me. I saw him play a few times as an energetic young midfielder at Walsall. He's never had a managerial role & now he should be given the reins at a top level club that are supposedly looking to move forward? If he was 40 I wouldn't have a problem with that. But at 53 he'd have done it by now if he was up to it. He's just put himself in a position to seize a chance he could never have expected. I don't blame him for giving it a go but seriously...if he had what it takes he'd have shown it long ago. He's the able lieutenant type. Not cut out for the big job. If we have serious ambitions to be challenging for trophies & European places we need to be looking at a different type entirely. If we can attract one of course.
