Let's look on the bright side.

We know the owners are ruthless and if they needed an excuse not to give it to Shakey, now they have one.

After dismissing Ranieri and all the flak they got, it would have been very difficult for them to ditch Shakespeare if he had won both the last 2 games of the season.

****s, useless ones at that.

An utterly shambolic attempt at playing football.

These lot don't get to choose our next manager, especially if that's how they play for him.

I'm embarrassed, totally embarrassed.

You can't pin it all on tactics. We have so few personnel worthy of a place in the squad it's unreal. That makeshift defence was dreadful tonight not because of tactics but because they can't defend. Fuchs is appalling at CB, Chilwell just isn't anywhere near ready as a defender to slot in at LB although he was still better that some. Benalouane hasn't been totally convincing since he came in if we are honest other than in sporadic matches against lesser sides and Simpson wasn't his usual dependable self tonight, perhaps because he was pulled about of shape by a CB pairing going AWOL every two minutes.

We were toothless in midfield because Amartey is not in anyway creative and we just had no spark. Ndidi has, for some reason, begun to look backwards instead of forwards. Where could we have changed it though? Gray came in and delivered little. The boy's got good feet but no end result. I like the kid but he's not quite good enough yet (I know he didn't have bags of time and to make a difference tonight before the inevitable comments). Who else could CS have brought on?

Up top, Okazaki was totally useless as he can be at times but who could we replace him with? Slimani, who charges around the pitch like a bull without any sense of purpose or Musa who has shown all the ability of a Trevor Benjamin?

Okay, it was negative from Shakespeare tonight, let's agree on that but don't underestimate the sheer lack of quality he has at his disposal.

Most of those players have shown ability and/or promise at times. Tonight they were all crap. When players like Ndidi and Gray start regressing then something is wrong. If they are isolated incidents then it's probably something to do with the player themselves, but when it's happening to players all over the squad all at the same time then it's most likely something to do with the management.

I don't want to jerk my knee too much but there's some serious questions to be asked after tonight. Realistically now I think Shakey has one game, which we should win, to save his job. Lose and he won't get the job full time.

Band of Brothers well and truly in the rearview and half of those players look like they know they don't have a future at the club. Injuries don't help, and it's been a long, eventful year...but still...

It's why I think you move away from Shakey...club needs a clear out.

We so think alike, we're sympatico. I'm betting if I were to ask you about lithe blondes and a pot of honey you'd come back with exactly the same suggestion. It's frightening.

I'm still embarrassed and humiliated this morning too. I'm avoiding human contact. And still angry beyond belief.

Fecking halfwits led by a moron.

Bit of perspective needed here gents and ladies

we had no central defenders or a midfielder Spurs were playing with no pressure at all last night, had they of needed to win for the title last night they would have been awful. What this shows is that our squad is woefully thin and highlights how bad CR investments were pre season. Calling for Shakey not to get the job is a bit far IMO

I unfortunately witnessed that live in the stadium, and it's the first time I've nearly walked out of a Leicester match. The only player on the pitch worthy of any credit was first-ten-minutes Jamie Vardy, though he should probably have done better with his shot.
I think it's unfair to be criticising Benalouane too much when he was the only defender on the pitch against an extremely high quality free-scoring Tottenahm side. Would Vidic have been able to help keep a clean sheet if he was the only one defending? (He was still shit though)
Clearly Fuchs is not a center back.
Simpson, after all my protecting this week, was ****ing awful.
Mahrez, after my defence of him in previous discussions, proved the points everyone has been making. Awful game for him.
Okazaki I thought had a really poor game, he seems to need Drinkwater to be any use whatsoever.
Amartey, after a promising first game, was total shit. What have we done to him?

We've gone back to being that club that buys good players and turns them into shit (Chris Wood being a good example) and it's concerning.
Shakespeare doesn't get the job, for me. I don't think he has the nous to build the right backroom staff to kick these players in the arse.

On the ****ing beach at 3-1 down and Kane then took it upon him to juts see how many goals he could score. The players shouldn't be paid just simply because they've handed to the golden boot to the twat.

I assume the last 6-1 league defeat before this was at Portsmouth on 24 September 2010. Does anyone know the last time we lost by that scoreline at home in the league?

And there is a little more perspective. No need to go overboard on this, we were shite against a very good side.
Chilwell is not ready. Benalouane is not good enough. Fuchs is not a centre back. Ndidi has gone backwards and probably needs rest. Amartey is not good enough in central midfield.
A big BIG summer ahead.

What?

Chilwell, amartey and Vardy played very well in the first half. Chilwell covered 3 potential goals in the first 15 mins when Fuchs and Benny were all over the place.Ndidi was fine.

We were let down by Okazaki being a complete waste of space, Benny wandering all over the park, Fuchs certainly not being a CB - that has to be put down to shakey and Mahrez being a ghost - epsecially when he was put in the middle so that he didn't have to defend.

Chilwell and Amartey were our best players on the night.

Benny, like Wes needs Huth in the middle to cover for him. The greatest defensive RB in the league was also all over the place and needs Huth to cover for him.

We had a few players missing and became a pub team, that is a concern, not a reason as to why we were shit.

We have been lucky with injuries over the last 2 seasons, the minute we get a few this is what happens, it's not acceptable and certainly isn't an excuse.

1-6 is an absolute abomination of a result, a disgrace and the players should be ashamed.

Mahrez showing yet again that even when it's one on one he can't do the business, I think he needs to leave to reboot himself.

Love what we've done with Amartey, got him playing brilliantly and then refused to give him any game time to the point where he's regressed as a player.

Dreadful. From start to finish it was woeful. I understand that we had injuries but that's no excuse for such a capitulation. We have a dreadful bench which means there is just no quality to change anything. Musa and Slimani were as useless as normal with Gray completely anonymous but I suppose you can't blame them though. They walked out onto a pitch where everyone in a blue shirt had already packed their bags for the beach. Amartey is just not anywhere near the standard required and Ndidi has been so poor for the last few games it's untrue. Massive, massive investment needed and a big clear out of dead wood.

We were so short on creativity. Not one spark of it tonight.

Can't believe that you're attacking the substitutes and haven't even mentioned the player that keep saying is world class.

And then you want a massive clearance but keep Mahrez. Not sure how your mind works.

At least all the City have done well, we need to keep the players posters have seen the light because of one game.

We should've made top 4 this season and the players let us down.

They may have been missing as many players as we were but they have a squad at their disposal. We have Slimani, Musa, Gray, Wasil, Amartey, Chilwell, a kid from the youth setup and a permanently crocked midfielder. None of those options are good enough.

Stop complaining about players who don't even get on the pitch and look at those who are on the pitch.

Mahrez and Simpson - your heroes - principally.

You really think that Shakespeare is the problem?

our non-functioning stars are the problem.
