the more we get Nacho, Vardy and Maddison on at the same time the better this season will go, they looked to link up very well as a trio

Absolutely. Depoitre had the haunted look of a man who doesn't expect to score this side of his transfer back to the Portuguese League. Surprised Kasper even bothered to do the token flapping about that he did.
and Harry was robbed, superb tackle he didn't get credit for

The PL is full of absolute shit.

I'm demanding a top 7 finish from now on.

I missed a lot of the 2nd half because the stream I was watching kept cutting out but I thought Gray had a positive influence on the game.

Good decision by Claudiola to drag Ghezzal off, he was wank.

I watched the match yesterday having recorded it, and I have a few comments.
N'Didi cannot head the ball. He was beaten to it for their goal and I don't think that he won a challenge in the air all game.
Evans is not up to the level we wish to achieve and should be used to help the young centre-backs with his experience.
Chilwell and Maddison are real class.
We need a big, strong back three a la Was, Wes and Huth. We are beaten too often in the air in our own penalty area.
I watched Everton yesterday and Zouma was immense. I have rated him ever since I saw him out-sprint Vardy to the ball a few years ago.
We are playing neat football, but without real aggression. We seem to be too nice. I know that we have had a few reds and yellow cards so far, but they were more for stupidity rather than controlled aggression.
Yesterday was the first time I have watched a whole match this season. This is because RMC Sport have just made an offer where I can watch the football without having to change from Canal +, I live in France. We should have a top 10 finish this season, but I am not expecting much more than that. Next season could be very interesting though. I think that it will take a full season to bed in the new players and the new style.

You can't expect anything more than top 10.

We bought 6 outfield players in the summer. Four of them are appearing regularly in the first team, but I don't think that Puel has yet worked out how to configure them into a working unit. I think that it will take time. Don't forget that 3 years ago, a top ten finish would have been seen to have been a successful season. Only 2 of that team, or at least the first choice team, started on Saturday. This project will take time, but I am very optimistic about the future when you look at the talent that we have in the squad, plus 2 good prospects doing well on loan and 1 or 2 very promising youngers, such as Johnson, coming through.

Is it just me or did Nacho look well offside when he ran onto Vardy's pas for the first goal? Taking nothing away from the finish but surely Vardy played the ball forward to him when he was ahead of him and there was no defender between him and the goal. Vardy finish was superb and all credit to him for keeping a cool head after his earlier miss.

It was close, but I think Iheanacho was just behind the ball when Vardy played it.

He was level with the ball when Vardy played it.

Actually, I just watched it again and Iheanacho’s left leg is unquestionably ahead of the ball when Vardy last touches it.

Probably just the camera angle. Looking at it again I think you are right he was at least level and probably just behind. The Lino was right alongside and never looked like putting his flag up. One of those that had Vards played it a second later he would have been.

from that pic deffo onside. Nacho foot is on the edge of the fdark line in the turf whereas Vardy is a good foot or so ahead. Close though.

What I found odd about that goal is that Vardy didn't keep running, like a striker should, in case the keeper saves it and there's a chance to score from the rebound. Maybe he was certain Iheanacho would score. Or maybe he thought it was offside.
Perhaps he realised that if he had run on and there was a rebound from the keeper then he would have been a mile offside himself as the covering defenders were never going to get ahead of him

This is the moment Vardy plays the ball. It's very close but he looks offside from this.
