First half was dreadful. Second half was much, much better with far more control. Whatever Appleton said, it worked. I still think there is such a lack of creativity. When Mahrez came on, we had that spark again.

I think first half we were okay, we just about edged it and their goal came against the run of play. The second half we pretty much dominated. Mahrez really opened the game up a bit more, we did have more creativity again and from his first cross seconds after coming on that was what we had been missing in the first half. Any way a deserved win and notably some pretty good performances from Chilwell, Amartey, Iborra, Iheanacho, Gray and Mahrez.

Amartey and Iborra were standout for me.

The rest were average.

Apart from Slimani and King, who somehow managed to reach whole new levels of shitness.

Leeds were dreadful.

Iborra and Chilwell the standouts for me.

It looks more and more like Iborra wasn't fit for the game against Liverpool. He's starting to look very promising.

Iheanacho meh. Despite a goal and assist.

Gray proving once again he's not fit to lace Mahrez's boots.

Until they scored we were absolutely dreadful, almost as soon as they scored we woke up.

Iheanacho took his goal well, thought he'd made a right mess of it at first but fair play finished it really well. Some of his touches are hideous though, Robbie "second touch is a tackle" Neilson esque.

Iborra was very good in parts, Slimani deserved his goal and Mahrez added a bit of class to proceedings. Chilwell worked well again at LB, he just never seems to do quite enough for me to warrant being ahead of Fuchs.

However, the best player on the pitch by a considerable distance was Daniel Amartey. Everything he did was cool, calm and collected. He was defensively solid, drove forward with the ball when necessary, picked the right passes every time. The best game I've seen him have in a City shirt by a country mile.

Onto the next round!

Iborra was hideous in the first half! I mean, beyond ****ing useless. He was better in the second half but still. Chilwell always looks effective going forward as he did today but he struggles to defend. A better winger would have torn shreds off of him today. Amartey was solid enough and calm throughout but doesn't offer the same as Simpson going forward.

Slimani had a difficult day but he tried to tee up others several times. The service in to him in the first half was useless but when he did get it, it was that lack of control and finesse we see from him time and time again that let him down.

Mahrez gave us a spark when he came on which was needed really. The trickiest one for me was Iheanacho who looked great at times and a little lost at others. I'm perplexed by him at present.

Just seen the goals.

Hernandez does a soft lob from 20 yards over 6'4" Hamer who is no more than two feet off his line. Can he not put his hands up or jump, or was he just asleep? What a twat!

people always say this but when he faced Salah he had no problems what so ever in open play, it's the latest LCFC myth that will never be disproven n0 matter how good Chilwell gets

That first half was horrific. Truly feckin' awful. We almost played with a back six at times, the central midfielders were so ridiculously deep

Gray, Albrighton, Maguire and Iborra were awful in the first 45, the first touch of Slimani almost a joke. But none of them so utterly pointless as Andy King. He really is stealing a living

Second half a completely different story. We moved up the pitch a good five or six yards and stopped playing like pub players. Iborra a totally different player in the second half - his ball through for the second was sublime. I really enjoyed the second half - but maybe that was because the first was so awful

Amartey and Dragovic impressed me a lot. Chilwell always looked good going forward. Maguire was a bit of a bombscare throughout

Mahrez came on and reminded them what football was all about, thank the Lord

Leeds were truly shit, but their fans were different gravy

The way Shakey ignored Amartey for his entire reign is criminal.

He looked a cut above tonight, assured on the ball and good in the tackle.

No options my arse.

Iheanacho didn't really seem happy when he scored or set up the goals. Feels like a quite strange atmosphere at the moment.
