Just because Ndidi has not played as well as he has previously doesn't mean Mendy has been better.



Ndidi has played almost exactly twice as many minutes as Mendy (1619/808)

So you'd expect Ndidi's stats for tackles etc to be twice Mendy's. But Ndidi's numbers are way higher than that.

The only stat where Mendy is ahead per 90 minutes is passes, he's made 547, Ndidi's made 929 this season.

Mendy has better passing completing % both overall (93% to 80%), in the opponent's half (95% to 80%) and in the final third (91% to 75%).

Positioning - Ndidi touches the ball more (66 touches per 90 mins versus 58 for Mendy), and these touches are over a larger area.

Not really, i wasn't being entirely serious.

i'm making my own mind up based on watching them myself. I lost count of the amount of times Ndidi made a pass to the opposition.
