But it is possible to order your favourite dish at your favourite restaurant and not enjoy it - too bland, over done, took ages to arrive etc.

It doesn't mean that you'll never want to go there, order it, or enjoy it again, or even want the chef to lose his/her job.

Probably does though if you're saying it happens every time you go. At least give it a break until the chef you don't like ****s off.

Or maybe the whole football club as restaurant metaphor just doesn't work. After all, most of us would happily eat in Nottingham

You mean comparing food to football doesn’t make sense?

Well **** me dead.

If you're too ****ing thick to understand a simple metaphor than it probably doesn't.

Honestly, sometimes it's amazing some of these people don't get hit by cars or fall down open drains more often.

I wasn't using a restaurant as a metaphor for a football club....

I'm too ****ing tired to explain though so yeah. Okay.

****ing hell just kill this thread. Kill it with fire.

Kill it, cook it, eat it.
Is that a metaphor? Where’s the chef? Kill Maresca? Eat it! Boring. You’re a ****! Entitled chefs! Chefs and ****s and leaving early.

If I turned up expecting a nice spicey Mulligatawney, and the ****s served me up a bland and uninspiring lentil broth, then I wouldn’t go back to that ****ing restaurant ever again - in fact I’d be a right ****ng looney if I did, especially when the exact same thing had happened to me every other week for the last six months

Have that metaphor you dopey twats

If Maresca was a chef, he'd be one of those self-absorbed twats doing deconstructed dishes.

And his waiters would bring out your food after taking forever and get to your table, tease you with the aroma, and then turn around and take it back to the kitchen.

But you’d still be happy right… you’d think the style was bad but you’d still be happy.

You wouldn’t just be whinging about a groundbreaking chef that has turned around what was a failing restaurant into one of the most impressive in its field…
